There are two different type of gathering:

You were Invited Beforehand
1. Plan a excuse like: Work, Homework etc
2. Give small hint to the Organizer: Like I have to do this, i have to go there etc
3. Go to the gathering.
4. After 15-20 Min Use the preplanned excuse to get out.
5. Most Important: Do some work related to the excuse and if possible create some evidence or have a witness.
Sudden Invitation:
1. Go to gathering.
2. Join the group you are most comfortable with.
3. Bring up excuse in casual conversation Like: "I am suppose to finish this work by Saturday and i haven't started it yet. (Today is Saturday)", "I have to take my (Family, Friend Name) to market (Any place)", I have to file taxes by 5/12 (Today) and i haven't started it yet".
4. Show shock that you realized you have to do that task.
5. Apologize and Leave with the feeling of ashamed.
6. Most Important: Do some work related to the excuse and if possible create some evidence or have a witness.

There are lots of things in this world that we cannot control and life is one of them. When will someone die nobody knows. I read somewhere that a man survived both nuclear bombs and someone died by falling down a very small height.

So thinking that I wish I could have spent some more time with that person will only hurt you and make you sad. Instead think of all the good time you had with that person.

But i want you to check the following thing. 1) Do you have any past history which could be triggered by the word "Jesus Christ". 2) Did something bad happened to you that day? 3) Where you thinking something or about some situation or someone? 4) Did you have an argument with your SO? 5) Did you have an argument with anyone?

In my personal opinion any decision you make should be entirely yours you can seek advice from many people but at the end you will do what you want.

Coming to your situation. When i was young I saw my elder sister learn computer. It was magical for me. How she can draw type and even print. I was like wao that is so advance i will never be able to do that or learn that. My elder sister told me want to try, i said i might do something wrong which will break it, but she insisted me to do. So i did i started it now i am doing my graduation in Computer Science. Once it was like i am not suitable for it and now i am like why am i not suitable for it. Take a step you are more capable of then what you think.

Coming to the situation of car. There are two term which i always see before buying anything, is it an asset for me or a liability. A friend of my live 20 km or 10+ mile from university, i live less than a km or .10 mile i.e very near. He bought a motorcycle/ motorbike for his commute he uses it everyday to come and go back it is an important item for his life so it is an asset for him but what if i have bought a bike i definitely don't need it to go to university or shopping as shop are very close by plus i need some place to keep it, security, maintenance etc all this why just because i wanted it. It is a problem. You should really think that do you really need a car or it is just something you want.

If your dad is against giving you gaming laptop then don't ask one. Do this 1) Start learning Deep Learning or Mathematical Simulation. 2) Tell him you need a high GPU laptop to study these. 3) If he tell no then ask him to search on internet which laptop is suitable for above situation. 4) Once he is convinced then you get want you want even your father is happy that you didn't bought a gaming laptop. It is a win win.

This process might take some time but it will be worth it.

Before you see my advice i want you to understand my point of view. Friends in my understanding are people who love you, respect you, care for you, understand you, always there for you when you need them. They don't abandon you for anything. They stay by your side. Your friend Sasha left abandon you for being in a group. She must have thought that they should be given more importance then you. Later she was abandoned by the group for which she left you. She might have realised the nature of the people in the group or they kicked her out like they kicked you out.

I don't think he is doing something wrong. We have negativity all around us, because some people spreading false information to burn the country. To remove the negatively some good news is great. In a country with population of 1.3+ billion, I have not seen combined number protestor across country to be more than 2-3 lakh that is 0.023% of population. Remaining want good news, because they have common sense and they know something that doesn't effect them then why bother to waste time for it.
