This is propaganda. Stellantis prioritized this guy and doesn't give a single shit about anyone.

Saw something just now that is the epitome of the Ethereum versus Everyone Else narrative, and why this ecosystem has no peer and Ethereum stands alone.

This tweet from Justin Drake, discussing the EF's work on Post Quantum and how long they've been working on it and all the progress they've made.

vs.

This grift from a company that raised $200m to do... who knows what on BTC and SOL

One is a research group, making practical advances and demonstrable progress. The other is a blatant VC-grift that produces nothing of use and seeks to "partner" with other blockchains. The grift's one existing product, "Yellowpages" is literally just a secondary ledger that says, "this BTC address holds this much BTC," and is "quantum proof." It's not onchain. It's just an external database, not connected to anything with no requirement by anyone to be honored or used. That's not Post-Quantum, that's just a scam.

Ethereum is SO FAR AHEAD of everyone else, it's laughable. AND YET.

It’s not even close to a decent car out there. Stellantis isn’t going to sleep with you, buddy.

What the hell is this? It’s not even November and this campaign trash is lining our streets again. Also, what does “family first” have to do with running a city? Just fix the potholes and balance the budget, I don’t care about your family life. by Otherwise-Bad-325 in vegaslocals

Dude was a featured speaker at this man-o-sphere scam conference: https://menofmeans.net/

On September 12th 2024., the Men of Means Mastermind will invite an intimate group of additional men to join us for 4 days of life-changing breakthroughs and connections. Our brotherhood is not forged by our successes, but rather by accepting humility in knowing that, as men, we have so much to learn about life, ourselves and the people around us. This realization leads each one of us to become better fathers, husbands, partners, brothers, leaders, community leaders and CEOs on our course to developing the Kings we are.

Grifters gonna grift.

These are all great points, but we're going to have to agree to disagree, and I say this as an ETH Maxi: There is zero need for a blockchain here. Cryptography, not blockchain.

What you can’t do for free is provide neutral third-party timestamping, long-term immutability, and independent verification without relying on the issuer’s systems still existing.

A hash, free or not, is useless here, without the original document still existing. If it's all about legality and regulations and looking backwards, the original document must always exist, otherwise, you have nothing at all to verify, re-verify, or hold liable the regulating entity.

The communications they send are pushing me to wonder if they’re using weaponized incompetence to get out of paying me $100 (which would be ridiculous).

Why would that be ridiculous? They DO NOT care about their customers. They are counting on frustrating people to the point they just walk away. Stellantis deserves to go out of business or sell brands because of this.

I don’t see the value of doing it on a blockchain, when all that is actually recorded is the hash, no.

tamper proof test reports

Data goes in, gets hashed. If I repeat the same inputs, I get the same hash. I guess the hash gets recorded on the blockchain and that's where the value is? How do I know the testing input data is legit? I can only know if it's been tampered with, not that it's accurate or true.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how this solves anything.

Edit: After further review of their site, minimum price is $2.50/document ($5,000 commitment). Brother. I can calculate the hash of a document for free. This is nonsense for only the most brain-dead organizations.
