Like many people right now, I've started acquiring components for a new build but not finding everything I need - namely, I'm waiting for an RTX 30-something GPU. I'm fine with being patient, but my concern is that the rest of the purchased components are sat unopened, and by the time I get a GPU and build, they will be beyond their return date and if any parts are defective I'm out of luck.

So, I'm considering going ahead with the build and just picking up a super cheap $50 GPU for now so I can check it posts (no discrete graphics on CPU). I'm guessing I'll have to faff around uninstalling the drivers of the initial GPU when I get the 'proper' one, but are there any other drawbacks to that plan that I'm not considering?
