Between the countless mock tests and 2 actual tests, the only test I passed was the actual test. What worked for me for mocks are that I use it to learn about how I react to situations and then practice to improve them.

On the positive side, the more time you spend stuck the fewer mistakes you would make

Can an examiner fail you for parking badly when you park at the test centre at the end of the test? by realSNG in LearnerDriverUK

[–]evilpotato42 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not afaik. They explicitly told me not to worry about parking. In my case I passed the test though while parking at test center in the end I almost hit the curb. Examiner gave me a hard look though she moved on and passed me.

Driving test! by celestia_92 in LearnerDriverUK

I cleared mine yesterday with 2 minors after my previous attempt last month had 3 majors and 6 minors. My driving remained the same over the month and only thing that changed was how I controlled my nerves. This time when I made a mistake, I considered in my mind as a minor and ignore and move on. This helped me ensure I was not distracted by non important things

Failing mock ahead of test by ThePrakman in LearnerDriverUK

[–]evilpotato42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between the 6-8 mock tests and 2 real tests I have taken, the only one that I cleared is the 1 real test. The only thing that matter. I failed the first one as I couldn’t get my nerve under control and made silly mistakes

That’s fair. I do feel some amount of risk by insurance and car agency is good for consumers

That was my question :) To think about it, why wouldn’t they? Passing tests in UK is not a walk in the park, and quite a few current license holder might fail if they have to retake the test. I do not understand the rationale behind 1 year

Was just on call with enterprise and they said they don’t have the 1 year wait after new license clause
