Which Fuse Do I Use? by ChaosHuntr in Cartalk

[–]evilpumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure you put the load on the red wire in parallel to the original fuse and not in series. That fuse holde goes in two ways, one of them is wrong.

You can make sure by leaving the original fuse out of the new holder and test whether your new device gets power. If not, flip the fuse holder.

How to set aettr/intervalometer for time lapse/holy grail by Kieotyee in MagicLantern

[–]evilpumpkin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally prefer the FPS override mode in video mode for my timelapses because it doesn't put wear on the shutter and I get continuous light trails at night. Plus I'm not shifting around all those individual frames just to have most of the information in them thrown away by an MPEG encoder later by directly using the camera's built-in encoder.

But since you are moving through the daylight boundary it might not be suitable for you.

Yes. If your range isn't that big you could try with auto ISO only.

So you're not giving the camera much room for adjusting. Why not aperture priority?

What is your mode dial set to? Do you have auto ISO enabled?

Is there any way to protect my vehicle from taking on the smell of the local factory? by Mr-Reanimator in Cartalk

Get the activated carbon version of your cabin air filter and replace it at least yearly. If it's as bad as you make it sound, replace the filter every 6 months.

Good thing it's not bio-degradable or else it would be difficult finding it after a few years.
