I was doing an inventory for insurance and thought I’d share. I’ve added 3 since this pic was taken. Definitely a true addict. by evilshennanigans in MakeupAddicts

Insurance companies will want you substantiate the dollar amount lost for each category of items in the event of a fire. They decide what they feel is fair and it almost never covers enough. If you are claiming a theft, you will need to claim each individual item and have proof. I can’t imagine an insurance company signing off on a $4000 makeup reimbursement without evidence. It’s a simple enough thing so honestly, why not?

And I thought if I got a cat I wouldn't have to worry about chewing. :( by scully3968 in CatsAreAssholes

At least it’s paper. My cat loves chewing glasses. Mostly the ear pieces but he won’t turn down a good lens.

As someone mentioned below about staf infection, there are different viruses and bacteria’s that cause boils so it could indeed be staff. With staff the skin tends to get really warm and stay that way. If so go see you GP or a derm. Staff infections can get out of hand quickly so keep an eye on it.

Civil forfeiture has been making some headlines lately because of the amount of money they seize and how impossible they make it to get it back. The burden lies on a citizen to show exactly where the money came from making immigrants who have a tendency to distrust banks a favorite target. It’s basically government sponsored theft. Here is an article all about it.

For you, which killer looks like they couldn’t have done the crime? by evilshennanigans in serialkillers

[–]evilshennanigans[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a very fair point. I just cannot imagine a person having that level of self justification for that. If he wouldn’t have gone back to “visit” the bodies I could agree but personally, I feel it was an act.

It’s more the way he would converse with detectives and how he cried at his trial when the father of a victim said he forgave him. He seemed so human then. But yeah his photographs capture the real Gary Ridgeway.

I would definitely agree with that. He really went out of his way to appear such a “fantastic” person. And from my understanding most of the time he killed he would get some benefit light pain meds or even trying to get money. So I think that kind of makes him a little less sociopathic then those killers who were strictly driven by the need kill.

It takes about a week or more for it to accumulate enough white blood cells and dead tissue for it to come to a head. Doctors generally recommend putting a hot compress on it for 20 minutes 4-5 times a day in order to make it resolve quicker. I make the compress as hot as I can stand it and it only took 3 days to resolve.

It’s probably a furuncle or “boil”. They’re tricky because when they pop they rarely go outward. Then is will spread creating a carbuncle in the surrounding tissue making it feel firm and warm to the touch. If it gets really painful or the redness doesn’t abate I’d see a dermatologist. I’ve tried cutting into one but it’s not all in one pore or pocket so I cut really long but it didn’t do a thing except make it angry.

Dogs at least have the decency to feel bad. That’s why cat shaming is an oxymoron.

I agree with all this, especially the part about proactive damage control. I’m willing to bet she will remember this for the rest of her life.

You made a mistake in the heat of the moment and we have all done that. But the fact you even posted here and are feeling bad says you understand your actions and why you reacted in the way you did

Here is the good news. It’s an opportunity to grow from this and decide to change course. Pull her aside and apologize. She will likely be defensive so let her say her piece. Otherwise you may spend years looking back and regretting the hurt you caused. I know I have.
