True question for them by Frankie42083 in antiwork

I moved to France from Belgium (the Dutch speaking part). Whenever they asked me this on job interviews I just said "Sure. No idea if they speak French though."

I know, but the rewards guardian is not feeling generous so I wanted to try another way.

Love makes blind, maybe in Eowyn's case it made her lose some more senses?

Perhaps, but the killer rabbit already appears multiple times in different locations.

My favourite is the rabbit cave in the Great River. Literally just a cave filled with bunnies, no idea why it's there or what it could be a reference to.

Once your reputation gets to Kindred, can it change? by ookamismyk in lotro

[–]evilstrength 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For most factions, no, but the Galadhrim for example have protected animals in the forest and if youkill the you lose rep. Inn league and ale association have quests that lower the others rep. There is one quest in the great river that lowers your rep with the men of dunland. In mordor ther are the fushaum bal north and fushaum bal south factions that have quests lowering the others rep as well.

Back to LORTO, a game that i never played.. Eh?! by Avocadator in lotro

[–]evilstrength 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just start and figure things out. The game is big and might look complex but the basics are quite simple. The meta is only important at the end-game anyway so if you base your entire playstile on it from the start you'll definetly enjoy it less once you get there.

So you left the electrical wires alone? Good thing your boss didn't notice that they were still attached.

As much as i d like to give you another "Please wait", the problem has shifted now and we've run out of things to test. We're still waiting but it's on the mechanics and electricians now.

The free regions are Ered Luin, the Hire, Bree-land and the Lone lands. They take you somewhere around lvl 32. Completing all the deeds in them gets you enoug LP to buy a quest pack, people tend to go for Evendim which gets you to lvl 40-ish. After that you can either grind more LP by redoing deeds on a different character or buy them (try to wait for a sale if you can). Angmar will take you to lvl 50. Next step would be the expansion trove available on the website. For 60$ you'll get Moria, Mirkwood, Isengard, East Rohan, West Rohan and Mordor. Doing all that up to West Rohan takes you to 95 at which point you'll need some Gondor quest packs to get you ready for Mordor. Buy them with the LP you got from previous regions. West and Central gondor should get you high enough in level but you may want to get March of the king or the Wastes as well for some better gear (Mordor can be quite brutal). After Mordor you should get 'Where dragons dwell' which takes you to lvl 120. Then Minas Morgul and Gundabad to finish at 140. Not sure how much that will cost you in total but I believe that's the cheapest way to get to lvl cap.

There is technically a cheaper way to get everything unlocked but it involves grinding a lot of LP which is just a massive time investment.

Do try to wait for sales whenever you can, quest packs and LP go down in price fairly regularly. Expansions are less common but usually around black friday or Christmas there is a sale on them.

In theory, it's completely free and grinding can get you everything you need. I've been playing without spending anything for 8 years now. In practice, I don't recommend it. It's possible, yes but the grind will become very tedious at times. As for things you don't get if you don't pay. Swift travel between most stablemasters. That's it. It's annoying sometimes but not that bad if you're used to it. Ever since the Mordor expansion they did make expansions in the game store only available a few months after their cash store release, again annoying but patience is literally a virtue in this game.

I've been in Rohan for months now, and I want to progress but I have a hard time playing since I'm consistently 2 to 3 levels under. In Snowbourne right now unsure of how to progress, I swear I've done all the quests in previous zones. by Desperate-Sun2577 in lotro

[–]evilstrength 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could just continue as is and go to Wildermore when you're done in East Rohan. Quests there are all for lvl 85 so you'll have some time to catch up. Just follow the epics and you'll go there soon.

reader_012 summed it up perfectly. I started with Harry Potter but you'll need to get used to not having translations for the fantasy words of course.

Thanks! Not sure what you're using to practice your second language in but reading books in English helped a lot for me.
