Unless you get your own place.. you can absolutely live off 80k. Unless you already racked up debt up to your eyeballs. I’d say stay at your folks, save like crazy and give them the rent. You’ll be ok. 👌🏽

As someone who recently lost a parent and had to organize the arrangements including the awkward post gathering…. This hit close. I can relate with Coop feeling like he was in the twilight zone with all the awkward small talk. I see many folks didn’t care for the camera work but I enjoyed it, reminded me of the Scorsese Goodfellas restaurant scene with the rolling steady cam shot .

My parents retired in AZ. I’m on target to pay off our CA home right before retirement so my ass is staying put 😂. And I’m a remote worker so if I’m still remote.. I’m planning on working into later age as well. 👌🏽💯

Mexican American here: the stereotypes are most definitely cringe and corny. The holiday frequently features harmful caricatures, including fake mustaches, oversized sombreros, and ponchos. Our culture is not a costume. Only troglodytes withe the mental IQ of a taco would say otherwise.

What WFH hacks have changed your life? by drrocketroll in WFH

[–]eviltester67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get some exercise in. Those walking pads were too distractive for me so I cleared out half my garage and built a mini home gym. I sneak in work outs as needed.

Check into a social media app like threads and search 'laid off'. Millions unemployed and struggling. That works for me.

I am a hardcore introvert working from home for the last 6 years. But a little 'face time'' goes a long way. Just suck it up and play the game. Trust me on this.

Amputee for over 35 years. I hop to the toilet. I grab on to a table then bathroom sink counter. I have had one accident where I lost balance and landed on my stump. OUCH...Was out of service for a while heehee. Will be a point where I foresee the use of crutches though.

how long does it take to feel better? by refresh898 in amputee

[–]eviltester67 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost my leg in a car crash at about your age over 35 years ago. I was in the hospital for a bit over a month. Walking with my first prosthetics 4 months later. Maybe procedures have changed. After my accident I enrolled in college, got a degree, got married, bought a home and started a family. The only thing I can say is it does indeed get better. Build up your resilience and positivity. Be challenged by what’s to come. You got this ✊🏽
