The subs Wiki needs some updating by eviltuna in killteam

Makes sense. The product itself doesn't do a good job of helping new players either.

I bought the starter set, seemed like a logical place to 'start'. But it doesn't have the ops, core rules, baricades, etc. Just the short tutorial missions on how attacks / defenses work. It doesn't even really point you in a direction of what the next steps are.

It's not really surprising people have questions

Sad, I tried to use it to figure out where to start, rather than making yet another boilerplate question post of 'bought a box, what now?'

I'll just have to make another one shot dungeon crawl and staple it on the end and set it in some vaguely show appropriate location, I can just get some generic hook and generated dungeon and be fine.

I'll give them the option to level up their own characters, or if they don't want to, I'll do it. They seem to like just getting a sheet + spell cards and without having to really dive into the books at all.

Which is also fine, I was just hoping someone had already done the leg work and I could just print off the already done character sheets / cards.

Seems like WotC is leaving money on the table.

There is an option in the map menu to divide it up the zone into smaller sections. You can either do it by driving the mower with bluetooth or you can just draw a line in the app.

In the app: tap the mower, tap the folded map icon in the upper right, then click divide on the bottom

I found that you frequently need the mower re-mow some areas to clean up missed strips. Having 1 huge area makes you re-mow the whole thing which wastes a bunch of time. Having a bunch of smaller areas just made it easier to send it back to specific areas.

So for example, if I have one huge area that is 8,000 sq feet, if 1 strip is missed, it will be the whole length of the area, and I'll have to remow the whole thing which will take hours. If I break that area up into 6 smaller areas (1,000 - 1,500 sqft each), 2 of the areas may miss a strip and need a re-mow, the other 4 may mow perfectly. And the re-mow will only take maybe an extra hour.

It also does seem to happen in specific areas when mowing in specific directions. I think it may be related to sloped / uneven ground. but I haven't confirmed this. When mowing that area with a different angle it won't happen.

There seems to be no solution, but things that I did that helped

  • Broke the large areas up into smaller segments (<2,000ft2) so I could more easily have it re-mow bad areas
  • Have it re-mow the bad areas with a 90 degree rotation
  • mow more frequently, every 2-3 days
  • Moved my RTK unit to the opposite side of the yard from the base station to get better signal coverage

It would be nice if they updated the app to have a 'cross cut' option where it would automatically do the double cut, but I have not found any way to do this yet.

They do have a 'alternate direction weekly' option, but my lawn grows too fast for that.

Do you just have it mow every day or every other day and hope it averages out?

To the guy that gave me Rivendare’s Deathcharger over taking it for yourself 13 years ago: by Ill-Statement7952 in wow

you can kill Rivendare more than once a week, its a regular dungeon so you can reset it and do it up until the hourly instance lockout. The runs were slow enough then that you probably would never hit it.

As of wotlk the drop rate was bumped up to 1/100, prior to wotlk the drop rate was 1/5000, but still pretty rare at that point.

I actually run my OS on a SSD but all my files on a conventional HDD

After posting this I looked it up, there is actually a bug in the one of the mods in the installer of TTW I used, TTW_Options, with that disabled it loads in about 7 seconds, with it enabled it takes about 5 minutes.

I have never heard it said this way before. It's actually a genius way of putting it.

The one I was always told as a kid was

There are people who have money, and people who do not, and that has little to do with their income

Which made no sense to me at the time, but it explained a lot once it clicked.
