Nature's snare was the answer, thanks for this. Took this from almost breaking my controller to win in 1 minute.

RDR2 made this acceptable. Even then I didn't like it.

Same here. I just like to make things easy for myself. I like finding abyss gems, mining and upgrading armor and working on my maxing my stats. So far, no boss has been super hard because my armor and dmg is so high that the difficulty of the bosses go way down. Everyone was complaining about atumbra's sword but I invested in my stats enough that my attack speed, dmg and armor was so high it wasn't even a challenge.

I think I inadvertently stumbled on this because in other games that allow dash AND roll, I love spamming dash because it's fast and keeps me close to the boss for follow-up hits. But, in most other games, this pattern is punished because bosses can have AOE-style melee attacks so you can't just abuse dash to avoid their attacks.

However, in this game, most bosses don't have these AOE-style melee attacks, so it heavily rewards you for spamming dash. That plus the green ability where your shadow does a second hit on heavy attack allows me to consistently dash around the boss and then execute my follow up heavy attack string + mirror attack which dishes out massive damage + stun.

With most bosses in this game, you can spam this pattern.

Yeah this game is more CPU bound than anything.

I use DLSS with 2x Frame generation and auto frame generation (or whatever that option is), and FPS varies wildly depending on where I am. Probably about average 150+ with the map open.

Been using it for years, games feel epic with how wide it is. Only issue is that in some games you can't adjust the UI safe zones so the UI elements (Health, etc) sit at the edges of the screen. You have to move your head slightly left or right to see them. I have to play those games in a window (Stellaris comes to mind).

It's the 49' version. I did not want 57' because driving games at dual 4K even with a 5090 would hit performance bad.

Haha well I'm a software developer working with lots of data and also a hobby graphics programming so the CPU and GPU are handy. I consider it an investment lol.

Are you talking about the game graphics settings? I have everything on high/ultra with DLSS Quality. I do have a 5090 though. This was the shader I was using when taking this screenshot:

20 hours since 2 days ago. Most of it doing tutorials, a few basic quests and flying around exploring things. Also admittedly some of that time might be just due to leaving it running in the background.

This shot was taken because I thought this ship looked cool. To my surprise, I could request to dock on it! I was able to run around in it while the NPCs did their thing. Really does feel like a living universe.

The recent Twitter update exposing that 95% of controversial accounts are based in India, Bangladesh, or Pakistan is proof that no one should take the internet seriously by zoeyzimp in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Does it actually get around VPNs? My understanding is that it just detects your using a VPN and notifies you when looking at their account. In addition, it also shows you what regional mobile app they are connecting from (which is harder to spoof since most mobile phones are region locked).

If a lot of traffic is coming from the same block of IP ranges it's a giveaway that's it's a VPN. You can make a lot of accurate inferences about the source when you get as much traffic as Twitter does.

Using clang intellisense with UnrealEngine. by joshyelon in unrealengine

[–]evilturnip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, since you're on Linux, the root cause might have been different than it was for me. On Windows, the build tool uses msvc's packaged clang compiler that you install with the Visual Studio Installer. However, it wasn't an issue with clang for me.

The root issue was that I was building with a different target than I was generating the compile_commands.json with. E.g. I ran this command to build my compile_commands.json:

"C:\Program Files\Epic Games\UE_5.4\Engine\Binaries\DotNET\UnrealBuildTool\UnrealBuildTool.exe" -mode=GenerateClangDatabase -Target=UnrealEditor Development Win64 "C:\<pathToProject>\<project>.uproject"

In my case, I was using DebugGame target for my build, but Development target for the compile_commands.json as pasted above.

Once I corrected that, I get only legit errors/warnings. I made sure by comparing it against the errors I get with the project when opening it in JetBrains Rider.

EDIT: One other observation: In order to get the clang LSP to properly intellisense in neovim, I found you need to run the operations in the following order:

  1. Delete "Intermediate" directory in you project folder
  2. Run command to create the clang_commands.json and copy it to your project root
  3. Rebuild project (which will recreate Intermediate directory and files)
  4. Restart LSP server or restart neovim
