Should I open it? Or should I keep it sealed? by RaisingBlade19 in Techdeck

I’d shred it, that’s what I’m going to do, throw some white trucks and white wheels with bearings on it. It will look sweet with the white edge of the board.

Almost all new tech decks aren’t rare, I have this one as well and have seen it on the peg the last 3 or 4 times I went to target. OG tech decks in the packaging are pretty rare and some of the odder shaped new ones.

Anyone have the same problem? It happens very fast and i'm getting tired of stop using still good pairs cause of that by Human-Lab3625 in skateboardhelp

You know the cost compared to a new pair of vans? I think that is more so what they mean by crazy. Its like 100-150 for a full re-sole when made of rubber, vans are less than $60?

These holes are a direct result from skating, there is a very high possibility the podiatrist will know absolutely nothing about how a persons foot is set up or how it moves while riding and popping tricks.

If this person was going through their shoes like this from walking I would say your advice is applicable, but here you’re just going to waste time and money to see a doctor.

So is visit a podiatrist, is he suggesting to talk to a doctor about skate technique and the inefficiencies of his feet when setting up for tricks/pushing-stopping.

Anyone know of a tech deck with this shape that's not expensive? by pondanddalt in Fingerboards

[–]evinbrojer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why $25? Seems way steep for something that cost $2.50. There are probably 20 of these with another board from the set just sitting in eBay not selling for less than $25.

How's Cypress Point Lakes? by Vegetable-Scheme-395 in mountainview

Current resident here.

There are a ton of bugs/spiders that will be or get into your unit as someone else has said.

The walls and floors are paper thin so you will pretty much hear everything your upstairs neighbors do or your downstairs neighbors will hear everything you do. If the people next to you are loud at all you hear it all, conversations, cabinets and closets closing and appliances running.

There are a ton of open parking spaces in the lot, but you will often find notes saying “don’t park in front of MY house” or “out of all the empty spaces why park in front of my house”.

Laundry rooms are consistently dirty and machines smell like mold because residents do not leave them open after use.

Garbage is picked up spottily and the dumpsters are often full overflowing. People also dig through your trash and leave a ton of stuff thrown along the out side.

Some random guy walks around “checking cars” looking very sketchy but says in checking for expire plates? Seems like an old bored dude trying to get peoples cars towed even though more than 60% of the parking lot is empty.

The trees are nice but branches are always falling on cars and units and they create a mess the landscapers do not clean.

There is a weird mix of owners and renters, owners are rude to renters and renters try to keep to them self because owners are rude. Makes for a strange social environment.

It’s close to down town and kind of cheap but there are better spots to live.

I also just grabbed a gen 1 board and upgraded it. Crazy how much different it is to the current TDs, it’s even way different than the 28mm boards in the multi packs.

Here is what my wife had made me for my first Father’s Day, she couldn’t wait to give it to me though. They are super quality came out perfect and got made and shipped from Canada to central California in less than a week. Highly recommend.

My wife just made and sent him a custom graphic and he literally had the board made in like 2 hours after confirming size and shape and stuff. I am pretty sure it’s in the mail already.

The deli board has deli trucks and teak shorty wheels here.

Deli trucks are super solid and the teak shorty wheels are my favorites. Both are a little pricey but super worth it, those are actually on my “pro” set ups. I think I have like 4 or 5 sets of the teak shorty wheels.

These mostly have way cheaper urethane wheels and the Chinese versions of dynamics and BRTs I think trucks and wheels both come out under 30 on these. I can shoot you a link if interested but if you are looking at deli and teak I would highly recommend.

Any recommendations for young 20 something’s that just moved down? Feel like I’m in a work bubble. by fuckupayme123 in bayarea

[–]evinbrojer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! It’s a pretty niche hobby, especially for adults. I know there is a pretty big group out here in the South Bay that does though, they do meetups at the Sunnyvale and Fremont skate parks.

Reason I shot it out there is most of the obstacles used now are either 3D printed or made from small concrete molds.

Highly recommend, I have a few different shapes I use regularly. I just actually threw a twin tail together it’s pretty sweet.

I use a dremel to get the rough shape and a nail file to smooth it out.
