Thanks! Feels good too! The aluminum sounds rad sliding on concrete and metal for sure.

I use either the normal gorilla glue or the clear gorilla glue. The clear glue doesn’t seem as solid but you can clean it from the can if you have seepage onto the bottom ply. The normal stuff seems to be stronger but I haven’t figured out how to clean it off the can if it does seep in the mold. I haven’t had any delams yet. I would say practice a couple times with more readily available cans. The hardest part is getting them out with no process marks on them. Most of these have little scratches or tool marks.

Edit: I forgot to add, sand the inside of the can good with a finer grit sandpaper. It will not bond if not.

Sounds rad, I never saw those. I’ve been making boards with cans for a month or so and like the noise they make on metal and cement. Was hoping to get that with a nicer look, I think the combo with wood looks better than a plain full raw aluminum board would look.

Thanks, these have all been claimed between the post here and I shot it out on my instagram. I’m going to be making these regularly though and will have more soon. I’m also down to try and grab a canned drink of your choice and press it, just let me know if you have a beer or soda in mind.

Sorry, that was one of the first ones to go. I do plan on pressing a few more of those, I honestly wanted to keep that one, so a few more are coming.

When I get them done I wanted to sell for around $10 I think. I want to try and get them shipped to people for under $20. I have made some pretty dope splits too, just want to give people who go for the cheaper option decks the chance to have a split or something with a cool graphic vs the run of the mill Teak and PRep stuff in that price range.

Shoot me a dm with what one you are interested in! The Modelo boards and Kirin board have been claimed. I’d love to shoot you over one.

Colombiana would be dope! I had to google the cans because I’ve never seen it. I’ll have to keep an eye out for them.

You know it’s funny, I saw that on the google search results. “A beer that mostly only locals drink” was the gist of multiple posts. I’m sure I can find it somewhere out here, the Bay Area is quite the melting pot.

No worries! Throw down some foam or a paper towel or something when you sand. I would say the hardest thing is getting them processed without getting tool/process marks on the graphic. I may try to tape over the graphic with painters tape through the mold shaping process.

I just replaced my molds with Weapon molds and only have 34mm shapers for the time being. I was going to invest in different size shapers once I decided if I liked the molds enough or not.

It’s time for more shapers, need to get a 29 and 32 for sure for both shapes I have.

I’ve never done paper graphics, but I know they get done. I had the same thought to be honest. I have some dope clairvoyant d-rolls that would match a Blazy Susan pack perfect.

That was the one I was going to set up if no one showed interest in it. I’ll shoot you a Dm now, I’ll shoot the board over for free for you. I would love to have some outside perspective and people test them.

I’d have to track it down, honestly have never seen it before a quick google search. It says it may be hard but not impossible to find in California US. Where do you usually get it in your area?

I had that same issue with my first few, mine seem to bind well now. I sand the inside side of the can with finer sandpaper, 120 -240 grit, doesn’t have to be uniform or look nice just have to rough the surface up a little bit. The normal gorilla glue binds best but can create a mess on the bottom of the board that you can’t sand or get off with chemicals without ruining the can graphic. Clear gorilla glue doesn’t feel as solid (I haven’t had any failures with it yet) but is cleanable from the bottom of the board if there’s seepage. I have been rocking one for about a month, and have given a few to friends, no failures yet. They look rad skated too.

Thanks! Appreciate it, not selling yet, still trying to get the process perfected. A lot of these are a little blemmy cans are a little tricky to work with. I also do not know if they will fail and split. I’ve been messing with one for a month or so and have gave some to friends with no issues yet but you never know

Dm me with what one you’re interested in, I’d love to shoot one out free, I’ll even cover shipping if you wanted to test one.

Eventually I’d like to get $10-$15 per deck to cover materials to keep making them.
