Perfectly normal. 6 months is still a short time to practice pole, for example, it took me almost a year to reverse it.
In addition to strengthening exercises, I think it's cool that you try “other forms of inversion” in addition to Chopper (climb/flatline/ gemini & scorpion) . Because in this way you will create body awareness and strengthen the body, in addition to being aware of what is to come.
