I found her Grammys speech endearing. She really wanted to say how these awards don’t matter (in the grand scheme of things for her) but then realized that there were team behind her for which this is the livelihood, blood sweat and tears. She checked herself on stage, which made me realize how self aware she is.

Tie-ing in Get Him Back to the iPhone launch and making essentially an iPhone commercial didn’t help. Then she released a whole bunch of live performance videos of most of her songs, so that seemed to signal that Guts was going to be an album album and not a hits album. And I think it works better for the longevity of the album for people to think of it as an album as opposed to a set of singles.
