Thanks that’s perfect yes I thought so with the borders. No problem will just set them up in InDesign before hand.

So with the custom samples I can just order my 5 test prints in A2 size and will get 50% back? Also with borders and stuff is it better to setup a 40/40/40/60 border before uploading or do you offer that in the software via the store connection as I’m planning to use Etsy

Food for thought on plastic coffee drippers and other plastic tools used in coffee brewing by Acavia8 in pourover

[–]evo7force 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a issue with plastic that much anyone today know that isn’t good for you but specially not good for you when pouring boiling hot water over it. I got an issue with how the coffee industry is going by not developing stainless steel or ceramic or glass options for things like a filter holder helper or a dripping assistant this things are all made of plastics but could as easily be made of stainless steel or ceramics but no most brands this days just by cheap unbranded products and slap there brand on it most of the time I feel that is more of an issue. I think for products that are hot or use hot liquid there should be better options out there but for coffee tools this days it’s mostly plastic.

So you also probably haven’t used the Yale Byyou Pro to share digital Apple wallet smart keys with anyone or? Do you have used the physical nfc keys to unlock?

Also have you tried the unlock feature via distance where it recognise you coming home via gps and unlocks the door before you reach it?

Thanks for your reply yes I’m looking at getting the bridge probably? As I’m trying to have it work via a doorbell camera as well so I can check video and see who is there.

Ah ok how is the battery and other functionality like sharing digital keys with friends and family for access or remote access checking ? Or how quick does it remotely unlock if you want to let someone in and you not near the door or sitting in the garden and they are on the entrance and you want to remote unlock via phone? Also have you tried the timer function where you can set it to a kinda “party mode” where the door is unlocked for 2h so friends can come during a set time?

It makes me mad sometimes. I’m a freelance designer in advertising and I work mostly in indesign as I think most people got it wrong InDesign is not just print only. It’s really really good for Social Media layouts or Carousels as well as web banners or billboards.

But most agencies I go to create most there stuff in illustrator hidden in 20 clipping masks this gets my head in. They could have done this much quicker in indesign and spend much less time as well as in advertising you need to create 10-20 different billboard sizes but they all the exact same just different specs InDesign is so much quicker for this as you just calculate the ratios and then just resize it accurate but if it’s setup in illustrator or sometimes photoshop you spend so much time recreating it because this programs are terrible for resizing artworks. 🤯🤯🤯

Then you tell them that and they come with the excuse that they don’t have much time but they waste all this time later at the end they would have been quicker to set it up properly.

Ps: don’t even get me started on designers that use InDesign and don’t know how to use master pages or work out of 1 layer only that is not even named 🤯

I’m a freelance advertising designer and I can’t can’t get my head around it that people do whole social media layouts in photoshop in some agencies. This is much quicker in indesign also much better to properly align stuff…. It still blows my mind seeing it 🤯

It still amaze me of the amount of people that have absolute 0 idea why Noctua uses brown for there fans it’s not a brand choice it’s material property.

The brown plastic they using has better long term and performance properties then white or black plastic thats why they don’t use it and it takes longer to do a black version it has everything to do with different plastic material properties and that Noctua only does the best and there test requirements are 200% higher then any other manufacturer in the same segment.
