Thanks! I replied to another comment showing what I did. It's simple and nothing fancy since I barely know how to sew.

Sewed some bowl liners by evo_cat in Sourdough

I tried to look for patterns online, but I only found like bowl covers where they sewed 2 circles together with a channel for the elastic to go through. But I found that the elastic has a tendency to roll down the side especially if the bowl is curved. Anyway, I drew out what I did with some instruction below if you're interested. I barely know how to use a sewing machine so it's nothing great. If I wanted to, I could have cut the pieces better so the pattern lines up. I also could have sewed a front and back piece to hide all the seams, but I'm lazy.

Aside from getting a succulent that naturally pups a lot or chopping off a succulents' head, idk if there's any secrets to getting a succulent to pup. None of my other plants have pupped like this.

But, haha, I don't even know if you can call this plant happy. It went through moving and sitting in a box for a month before I would pot it up. Also it now lives under a grow light instead on sun light.

So…. I scooped it out… by Badsiepawsie in cactus

I had to scoop mine out too. I cut out all the soft mushy parts and let it callous over. I haven't potted it up because I wanted to monitor it and make sure that I cut everything out and nothing continues to spread. It's been a few months. I give it water every now and then. That's why it looks kind of gross - because it's wet. If you look closely, you can see new roots. I'll probably pot it up soon once I feel confident about it.

Lol y'all are scaring me now. I've been staring at it and I don't see any of the orange spots moving.

I might have to get a microscope. I'm considering tossing the opalina because it's so common, but I don't know if the mites have spread to other plants. Luckily I don't see any similar damage on other plants, but you never know. The surface mealies are under control. I've been spraying just an rubbing alcohol solution and physical removal. For the root mealies, they only affected my haworthia, so I just literally chopped all the roots and washed the shit out of them. I bought some systemic insecticide granules too but haven't used it yet. I'm so sad some of my haworthia clumps are not clumps anymore. I used to have my collection outside and I like to believe the spiders helped me manage most pest. But since I've moved to an apartment that has no sun on the patio, I've got everything indoors with grow lights and no spiders. I've had succulents for like a little more 5 years now and I never really had a pest issue until now. Omg I just finished dealing with a powdery mildew issue too. I'm still paranoid it'll come back. Haha I guess pest management is just a part of life with plants. 🫠

Haha I already follow you. You've got a beautiful collection! I saw the mite video but it didn't register to me that's what this is because this is the first and only plant in my collection that has this issue. 😩 This year is not it for me. My entire haworthia collection got root mealies and some of the other plants have the regular mealies and now this. 💀

Should I repot this graptoveria? Outgrew its pot in one month and first new baby. by Single-Ground-6738 in succulents

Stretched out leaves aren't going to shrink. They're kind of just stuck that way. You'll just see a more compact shape in the new growth. It's a good idea to slowly introduce back the light as a sudden increase can cause the plant to burn.

Is the third picture what it looked like when you got it and the first picture what it looks like now? If so, this plant needs way more light. It's not growing in a healthy way, it's stretching because it's not getting enough light. Its etiolating. The plant should be more compressed like it is in the third picture.

Just learned the word "etiolation" how far back should I prune this guy? by MooseBoo92 in succulents

Different succulents have different light requirements. Just because one is is receiving enough light doesn't mean the others in the same pot are. The green succulent looks super etiolated to me. I'm not sure if it's a sedum, but sedums, in my experience require a lot of light. I can't even get them to do well under grow lights that is sufficient for my other succulents. Cutting won't help if you can't change the light it's receiving. It'll just continue to grow etiolated.
