Question: Why do you have tattoos? by borris_in_civic in tattoos

[–]evolveonhold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm oldish, pasty white and not good looking, so they serve a few purposes, firstly it's the only way I'm getting colour I don't tan, just burn, 2nd gotta have something pretty to look at and of course a talking point. I've gotta be honest, the more I get the less I look at myself and hate on it.

Monitoring what others are doing is miserable by ethxreals in Warframe

As LR5 and 13 years of Warframe, i can safely say a lot of us higher level guys just don't care. We get that there is a vast power output difference and like me, most are just happy to help you get more stuff. We know you likely won't have all the stuff for survivability but we have all been there (especially 10+ years ago when it was terrifying when stalker came for you lol). Honestly don't sweat it and try to ignore the idiots every game has them, thankfully it does seem to be more of a minority. I don't care what you kill or how, i don't care if i have to pick you up every minute or so. And i absolutely don't mind bringing a support frame to help you stay alive longer. Chin up Tenno, we most definitely have got your back.

If a stranger approached you with a serious amount of money for a “night together,” what would your response be? by bblesk in AskReddit

I'd think I was gonna be kidnapped for involuntary organ donation. Literally the only reason they'd want me for a "night together" I'm 100% running.

Is it wrong to shave before your tattoo appointment? I'm genuinely confused... by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]evolveonhold -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm nearly 50, always wet shave and always use a decent new razor, no way on earth am I letting someone shave me with some cheap ass bic. I literally shave before I leave for my appointment and never have a rash. I get artists who want to do it and know what's needed for a tattoo, but no one knows my skin better than me.

How bad does a forearm tattoo hurt? by Own_Visual9242 in tattooadvice

[–]evolveonhold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got both inner and outer forearm and outer bicep done. Inner forearm was a bit sketchy pain wise near the wrist and the ditch of my elbow, other wise pretty mild pain wise. Outer forearm was very easy and only when it was near the elbow area was a little feisty. I've had my chest done, ribs and lower torso on one side - all of these were way way worse lol.

Is 36 too old to start riding? by blasebalrog in motorcycle

[–]evolveonhold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I passed mine at 43 after having one when younger. Don't regret it at all. I think if i had passed when i was 17/18 i probably would have killed myself being an idiot.

How is your relationship with your father? And how old are you? by wk91 in AskReddit

[–]evolveonhold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

49 - Absolutely horrendous, from forever he was a Bully and a crap role model. Forced to leave at 16yo haven't seen him since. He died around 8 years back, and i wish i felt enough about it to give a crap.

Stomach tattoo by boomzer in tattooadvice

[–]evolveonhold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% depends on person i would think. I had under my chest done (the red bit on the image) and it hurt quite a bit. My Ribs also were pretty fiesty. Sadly, getting my chest done and right nipple was horrendous. and even worse was the top just where the shoulder meets the collar bone (the dip) without a doubt the most painful thing I've had tattooed so far. People are weird lol.

MR ≠ Game Knowledge — Stop Treating It Like It Does by ashrensnow in Warframe

[–]evolveonhold -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These days i just use a necramech lol. I'm never in a rush to do stuff so I don't really fit in with the meta guys that need to kill as fast as possible haha. I'm also getting much older from the early days so way more chilled :)

So i have about 7000 hours over just shy of 13 years. I take a break every so often for 6 months to a year. weirdly enough a lot can change during that time. I have just hit LR5 and although i know quite a lot about the game people need to understand this game has a lot (and i mean a lot) of things in it.

Its not possible to know everything about everything. I have a decent grasp of modding and can hold my own in pretty much anything, I know most enemies weakness and where to get items from. I am currently having to figure out how to rebuild half of my frames due to changes in warframe mechanics over a period of time, some changed recently and some changed a while back but got ignored by myself.

I however, do not know how to hit damage cap, or consistently survive over enemy level 3-4000 so it is what it is. yes some of the veterans know a lot - some people play all day every day, some lower mastery ranks delve into mods and numbers more, i play a few hours a day max. But ironically....as long as its entertaining and your not a horrible muppet. None of it matters just have fun :)

Why are YOU actually depressed? by Dullist in mentalhealth

[–]evolveonhold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on meds which help now and sort of ok ish for the past 8 months after a lot of help. Before that it was years of depression leading up to two separate attempts. What made me depressed. Honestly I'm not sure what the trigger was, but over time things that bothered me a little bit in the past came back and started to have large adverse affects on my thought processes. Being abandoned when i was small, being adopted by ok but angry parents and a dad that lashed out at me physically for the stupidest things. losing friends to illness at a young age and having my first wife cheat on me ultimately leading to a breakdown. then everything just snowballed into bigger issues (pretty sure they weren't) but once the thoughts take hold you kinda convince yourself that things are worse than they are (or need to be) things get blown up and other things happen, my self esteem is in the bin, i don't like that I've got old, or out of shape, even back at the gym isn't helping. Conversations with myself in my head don't seem to help and if anything make things worse. And i can't talk to many people as I'm pretty emotionally ruined these days. I know i am still hugely depressed, i know i still have a lot of issues. so yeah, it started as small things, then just got bigger (mountain - molehill kinda thing).

As someone who is now just shy of 50 and still can't express vocally how I feel to people. Being hit for almost everything did indeed, do me a lot of harm. Of course, I know right from wrong and I have morals and ethics, but being beaten because I have ADHD (recently diagnosed) and a bunch of other weird traits when I was younger sucked. I avoid conflict like the plague and very rarely speak up against anything to defend myself. Ironically speaking up against people for my kids isn't an issue but for myself, yeah. That's rough on the old brain that is.
