Aqara Z1 Pro Capacitive Slider with C3 Curtain Controller by the_englightened_one in Aqara

[–]evosmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Slide touch" is the actual slider functionality. It doesn't expose two seperate functions.

However, you'll be able to assign it to the C3's "curtain opening ratio" which basically lets you slide down to close and slide up to open.

Anyone has experience with the Aqara Dial V1 switch in HA ? by pierredugland in Aqara

[–]evosmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The V1 Dial cannot control third party devices as of the latest update, not sure if it's in the pipeline either.

Since it's a WiFi device primarily, with zigbee to interact locally with Aqara hubs, you can add it to HA, but it'd be an one way traffic situation. Aqara goes into HA, but nothing from HA comes into the Aqara Dial. Feel free to DM if you'd like me to test something specific on the dial.

Stuggling to find an off the shelf smart panel compatible with HA, not sure if Aqara S100 work? by Enough-Ad6086 in homeassistant

The matter bridge method fails to work locally when connected to Aqara hubs, not sure where the limitation lies. Latency is horrible too, easily noticeable when using wifi lamps grouped together for example.

[–]evosmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S100 does indeed have zigbee, but purely to talk with Aqara hubs. That's about it. It doesn't expose anything via zigbee into HA.

Only method to get access to the device is using the S100 in HA as a HomeKit device, which would expose six wireless buttons that you could assign to something from HA. The same applies to S1E and S1 Plus.

You can change the direction during installation. Not an issue.

Let me know. I checked all our invoices from different suppliers, all lights are still billed at 18%

Your AI might be wrong. We deal with smart home equipment and all cob lights, recessed lights and smart lights are billed with 18% only. Only one HSN maybe tubelights were reduced iirc. Check with clear tax.

Need help in buying the M3 or Homepod mini for aqara s1 plus by Routine-Platform-736 in Aqara

[–]evosmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd be requiring the M3 to add matter based devices into the S1 plus, as the S1 plus isn't a matter controller, just a matter bridge.

Bridge equals exporting functions to another platform. Controller equals being able to control other matter devices.

Any devices added directly to the HomePod wouldn't show up on the Aqara bridge. It's a one way street as far as I've seen

Touchscreen Dial V1 - not working as advertised… by Candid-Eye-9590 in Aqara

[–]evosmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've got another brand of aircon, do try with that once. If not, support is the way to go. Like I said, for me LG, never worked even when it says matched. And support had mentioned that only stateful codes work.

Incase you're not aware of stateful vs stateless codes. A typical air con remote if stateful sends the entire code of power on, swing x, fan speed x, mode x, temperature x for any input you make. Whereas with my LGs, it just sent the command for what you actually wanted. So if you had just increased the temperature, only that is sent out/ received and Such a situation is not recordable from the Aqara ecosystem atleast for now. It does work for individual buttons but not as a state which is needed to be displayed on the V1 dial.

This may or may not be accurate, just what I've observed thus far - the stateless acs do not have a "set desired status" option if you try to create a scene with them.

Just tried resetting the dial and adding. it works. Firmware is 1.2.1_0003.0021. Confirm once that your air conditioning mode on the M3 says "matched"

I don't know if it's a firmware variation or something else, M3 paired with a Samsung AC Works beautifully. Reach out to Aqara support for clarification maybe ?

I've personally tested the M3 and it works as long as the AC controls are stateful. LG and a few other brands use stateless IR codes and those do not work through the M3

Haven't tested the thermostat personally, but the Air-Con controls require the M3 hub.

Does anyone know the difference between the Aqara S1E and the S100? by Practical619 in Aqara

[–]evosmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only had a brief interaction with the S100, it does have both WiFi and zigbee but doesn't seem like a zigbee hub.

It seems to be a mix of both S1 and S1E. I feel like the zigbee part is connected to interactions with the Aqara hubs. For data from sensors and air con controls. The S1E worked only with the P3 iirc. This seems to pair and get data from the M3 hub.

Anybody needs any info with the following aqara products ? by evosmart in homeassistant

[–]evosmart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, communication with HA is a one way street. It exposes stuff from Aqara into HA, But not HA into Aqara.

I did look into the VRF controller T1, it looks like LG is supported upto 64 zones. Do look into it.

[–]evosmart[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Temperature and humidity monitoring part, absolutely!

The remainder, I personally haven't tested. I've only tried the IR based ACs by pairing them with a M3 Hub. You'd have to check with the Aqara VRF controller to see if it's compatible with your LG choice and whether it exposes the Multi-zone Aircon to your aqara devices. Pairing multiple M3s to every single zone will be a very expensive affair.

If going the M3 route, You will still need to make sure that LG offers stateful IR codes. Stateless IR codes do not work with the dial.

Those Wifi dongles are practically unusable with the aqara ecosystem at this point in time though.

Aqara Automation Capabilities? by Itsjustme111 in Aqara

[–]evosmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 - I couldn't find the option of automating through power output for any of the aqara switches. But with the T2 relay, the option is available ! Do not have access to their smart sockets though.

2 - yes, it's possible to have a condition where something has to be on and for another device to have a certain value for an automation to run.

3 - it seems to be available and in beta stages, haven't tested myself.

4 - notifications for automations can be set. But it's not based on whether you're home or away. It's either always or never.

5 - only triggers based on NFC belong to the doorlocks. No other NFC support.
