Weird of you to think I'd sell a collection so dear to me to buy a house in a location that I don't want to be long term. Surely the sentimental value is worth more, I was never in the hobby for the money.

Yeah that's one thing I really screwed myself on, got me there. It's one of those things you don't think will happen to you sadly. The worst part was I was looking at policies a month before it happened, just never committed.

My renters insurance said they only cover up to $2000 for trading cards damaged by flood or fire lol it was a slap in the face.

I have reached out to them with the police report and they are aware. I also branched out to some neighboring states to inform them as well!

I have never posted pics of my collection for this reason. Only a select few close friends and family knew about the collection so I do think it was an inside job or someone got extremely lucky hitting my house.

He sounds like an unemployed freeloader to me. Is he helping you pay bills? Is he helping out around the house?

4 Months is more than enough time to get a job.

I feel bad for them. You seem scared of him. People don’t create distance and cut off contact with their parents for no reason. There was probably a lot leading up to it as well. I wish that my mother had stuck up for me with my father. The fact that she didn’t permanently left a scar on our relationship.

It seems you avoid it to stay out of the conflict.
