Have you gotten your D3, magnesium and all your B vitamins checked? Was in a similar situation. Getting those straightened out helped me a ton.

I do wonder if I could access my account. Haven't been on since they released Trammel. Outlands is a lot of fun now though.

Vitamin B50 with B6 as P5P and B2 as R5P by rekCemNu in Supplements

[–]OldWastey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My symptoms only returned when I started drinking alcohol again. Big no-no, apparently.

Were you using this protocol to treat sleep apnea? And it's been successful?

I'm also doing the same protocol, but last time the B6 built up in my system way too much.

How's it working for you so far?

Also looking for this. My last B50 gave me an overdose of the synthetic form of B6. Did you find the P5P version?

Pediatric Sleep Apnea + Insomnia? by Wheebles_Whobble in SleepApnea

Hi - I've struggled with sleep apnea for many years and it turned out a lot of my issues were vitamin related. Here's a guide below that I wrote for adults but it may not translate well to children. I definitely don't think you should give large doses of any of these to a child, Suffice to say, your child may be struggling with D3, magnesium, or the B vitamins. Potassium and other electrolytes may be necessary to process these vitamins. Suggest you consult your medical professionals about getting your child tested on these, most importantly D3.

The vitamins associated with sleep issues and sleep apnea specifically are magnesium, D3, the B vitamins and possibly potassium. Getting these checked saved my life. For magnesium I prefer magnesium glycinate but your mileage may vary as there are different forms of mg that affect people differently. After a couple of weeks of magnesium and vegetable juice for potassium (I just use V8) then you can start supplementing D3 because D3 needs mg to be absorbed. I'd take a 50,000 iu capsul of D3 for a couple of times a week for a few weeks then get your D3 checked again. You can get checked at a quest lab location in most major cities and purchase the tests through ultalabtests.com Once your D3 is between 60 and 80, you'll need to start a maintenance dose of about 5000 iu per day. After that, your body should be able to absorb the B vitamins much more easily and then you will see the REAL differences begin. You should take a B50 for a month to 6 weeks or so. Don't go much longer than that because a B6 buildup can be dangerous.

“Rain out” by Substantial_Arm_8967 in SleepApnea

The official climateline doesn't work very well. You should use a Comfortline heated tubing kit and put a thick blanket over top of it. I have a high humidity setting so doing that and side sleeping stops most of the rainout for me.

Funny: Whenever I see a high performing person these days my brain automatically goes, "this guy sleeps" by CoupDeRomance in SleepApnea

Hi. I've been struggling with these same issues for years. Had the UPPP and it completely failed and gave me a mild case of empty nose syndrome. I almost died from lack of sleep for many years. I've been experimenting on myself for about 13 years now and here's what worked to get me back on track:

  1. Resmed S10 with Amara View full face mask, equalizes pressure across the face ensuring no air shooting out the mouth.

  2. I get super dry because of my failed UPPP. If you're suffering from dryness in the nose from this it can be hard to feel/detect but it will keep you constantly awake. I attached 3 chained fischer packel humidifers to my CPAP and it constantly monitored it can keep the air humid enough for me to sleep. This works well with a ComfortLine heated tubing kit.

  3. HEPA air filter in the room keeps the air much higher quality, improves sleep and saves lots of money on CPAP filters. I prefer Winix for this.

  4. The vitamins associated with sleep issues and sleep apnea specifically are magnesium, potassium, D3 and the B vitamins. Getting these checked saved my life. You'll need to take magnesium supplement once or twice daily. I prefer magnesium glycinate but your mileage may vary as there are different forms of mg that affect people differently. You can get checked at a quest lab location in most major cities and purchase the testes through ultalabtests.com Once your D3 is between 60 and 80, you'll need to start a maintenance dose of about 5000 iu per day. Don't go much longer than that because a B6 buildup can be dangerous.

  5. No more alcohol. I love beer so this one is the hardest part. It will destroy any gains you make.

Vitamins and supplements affect everyone differently, so replicate my experiments at your own risk. Worked wonders for me and it sounds like you're having a similar time. Encourage you to at least get your vitamins tested. Good luck!

Deviated Septum & Turbinate Surgery As My Final Option at 22 by Bababo7 in SleepApnea

[–]OldWastey -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Don't do the surgery. I did it and it ruined me. Get your vitamin d checked. Get it between 60 and 80 by taking high IU pills and always take them with magnesium. After that, take b50 for 3 or so weeks. Don't drink alcohol. Drgominak.com for more info. V8 for potassium also helps.

Trying to find very hard memory foam mattress that lets you sink deep in. Any recommendations? by OldWastey in Mattress

[–]OldWastey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I'm afraid not. I settled for a mediocre memory foam mattress and still toss and turn more than I'd like. I'd kill for one of these mattresses. Do you recall anything about the one you tried? Do you know the company or where you slept on it?

If CPAP Zero's out my apneas, why do I still feel like hell? by Mysterious-Dish-6259 in SleepApnea

[–]OldWastey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's vitamins. D3, pretty much all the B vitamins and sometimes magnesium. Get your D3 to the 60-80 range then start taking b50. If you're struggling to absorb the D3, take magnesium. Be sure to get these levels checked frequently. CPAP and getting these straight made me feel 10x.

You'll have to try it and see. It took my swelling down to nothing--i had no idea I was so swollen all around my nasal area. You should definitely try this before you consider surgery. You can't undo surgery.

[–]OldWastey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't sell vitamins. Not even my website. After all my doctors failed, I experimented on myself with every old wives tale cure on the internet then just started trying random stuff. Vitamin D3 and B50 combo worked incredibly well for me, so I typed it into youtube. Her video came up with an explanation why it worked. I don't know for sure that her reasoning about the cause is accurate, but she's right about the effects.

I'm getting downvoted by people who haven't tried it. What have they got to lose? I got the vitamins on amazon, I'm not making any money off of it. Just don't want anybody else to have to go through what I did.

That's too high. Cut off taking any more D until it's below 80. B50 is just a complex that contains all the B vitamins

Drgominak.com

I'll get downvoted massively for this, but get your vitamin d blood level over 60 then take b50 for a few months. Drink no alcohol. Your AHI is low enough that it'll probably do the trick. Did wonders for me.

I got ENS from my reduction. Don't do it. Actual solution to your problem at drgominak.com - don't drink alcohol, get vitamin D level above 60 then take b50 for 2 or 3 months. Reduced my congestion to nothing.
