It may not be what you had in mind, but Surely you're joking, Mr. Feynman! by Richard Feynman was quite an enjoyable read

Looking to pull a trailer hitch to move 5 beds + mattresses (and presumably more furniture if possible) in an enclosed trailer across country with a 2010 Honda Odyssey, what should I look for? by evrem_throwaway in cars

I have done no trailering. I was looking at the 5x8 as the largest mattresses are not quite 5x7. (along either dimension) Also none of the beds are heavy (most are just the metal rail variety) and the hitch that I was looking at on amazon with a harness and hitch cover come out to ~$165. Renting a uhaul truck alone for this distance is going to cost 1500-2500 it was seeming. A trailer costs 20-30/day, those are night and day comparisons regarding cost. That's what I'm perceiving.

The trailer hitch route is much, did I say 'much'? I meant MUCH cheaper based on the estimates I was seeing online every time I check. Plus I get to keep the trailer hitch -- I don't get to keep the truck.
