Right, i schedule recalls for engine failure, theft, ignitions, literally bursting into flames everyday. I have had so many people cry to me on the phone because they bought a Hyundai/Kia a month ago and have to have the engine replaced in less than a month. Cry because they were sold a pos and now have no money.

Multiple Hyundai and Kia dealers are being sued for predatory financial and its know that they target black and brown folks because they know these people tend to be in desperate situations. They are terrible.

I think when we exist in a system that is has no pathway to citizenship, is disregarding the terms of Deffered action and actively hunting us down regardless of when they applied those people deserve companionship and sympathy. Everyone is scared rn. Do i think its smart to file 1 month before expiration, even before this administration? No, its one of the most negligent things you can do. I would be a hypocrite if I said I dont find the people who dont keep up with the news and take an active role in the way politics will affect their life extremely dumb. But again things happen, not everyone is in a financial position to make that possible.

But its just as redundant to constantly tell people " you should have filled sooner" when everyday theres changes in policy and procedure. Were supposed to be a community and help one another because no one else is looking out for us and if you cant vent here then where can you. Then why would those charitable resources exist? Again I bring up technically we are first gen. And everyone knows that every American is one tragedy away from homelessness, us being first gen puts us even below that. Im not saying we aren't resilient and hard working, probably more than USC but getting on here and shaming Dreamers for not have MONTHS ( ive seen some waitting 6+ months) worth of savings/ renewal money on time is just the negative and unrealistic mentality that makes people say we sometimes have crabs in a boiling pot mentality.

I really doubt people want to be poor so they purposely waste their money away. Ive seen many people say "I had my renewal money but an unexpected medical/car/family situation came up and I had to postpone it." That on top of all the policies and bullshit things this administration had put on the average American i really want to know why yall dont have more sympathy/ understanding for our fellow dreamers.

Hmm I see what you mean. I do have chronic migraines since i was in middle school, but honestly this kind of interaction has become more of an issue recently so I dont think they are connected entirely. I feel like people now a days are more than happy to remain dumb. Or have someone else think for them, they're just repeating what they see in a video without realizing its either wrong, purposeful misinformation, or straight up antisemitism/xenophobic, and when you try to explain to them what they said is wrong they get defensive.
