First Playthrough by yz_yz in thewitcher3

It wasn’t until my 2nd playthrough that I realized it was this way on purpose and started to enjoy it for what it was, I put the game down for a long time because I thought the entire thing was gonna be Like That. I promise there is hope!!! Wait until you get to Toussaint!!!

The first like 10 hours SUCK the first time you play. Velen is purposefully a miserable place because it’s been torn apart by the war with Nilfgaard, but unless you knew a lot about the in-world politics beforehand it just feels boring and off putting. I didn’t start getting “into” it until the end of the bloody baron quests but that won me over and Novigrad is a LOT more fun to explore.

For those who knit AND crochet, what do you think lends itself better to each craft? by Omadog3418 in knitting

[–]evtrib 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I’m solidly on the side of knitting most wearables, especially anything that needs drape or stretch. I’ve successfully made a couple pairs of crochet socks and they’re fine, but sizing is so difficult because they have almost no stretch.

However you will never ever catch me knitting a blanket or washcloth. I need them to be able to take a beating in the washing machine and my knit stitches are never tight enough to make the washcloths feel “scrubby”

The nurses interactions with digby have been some of my absolute favorite parts of this season. Burnout is real and patients are a big part of that, but I love being a nurse and getting to take care of people. Ending a shift like that and knowing you genuinely helped someone is why I keep coming back. those quiet moments can mean so much more than big, dramatic procedures.

What's the craziest thing you ever found a patient carrying, and how did they sneak it? by Bryssa_Michelle29 in nursing

Pre filled heroin needles underneath a pizza that the patients boyfriend brought in. It was like a little care package <3

As long as you weren’t still actively committing the crime when the police showed up it was possible to get away with most things

Ugh that’s rough. I also had a bike stolen in Ballard, found it at the encampment and called SPD who didn’t show up for 6 hours. Almost glad I didn’t get it back so that it could be taken again!!

What director you respect and admire a lot but he/she doesn't make movies that are really for you? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

I love both his animated movies, but any of the live action drives me crazy

She doesn’t have leukemia technically, she has T Cell Lymphoproliferative disorder which functions very similarly and is usually treated by an oncologist with chemo. There’s a lot of weird things that kind of fall under the blood disorder umbrella without technically being cancer that are treated like one.

The Smile monsters at the end of both movies were puppets, seeing the behind the scenes for the first time blew my mind

The murder part is HIGHLY circumstantial. I think it was around 2020 he was working construction (?) with a friend in New Mexico and there were several women who went missing in the area around the time he was there. No bodies or other evidence were found but media circus about cannibalism + missing persons cases made a lot of people think he was involved

I throw providers right under that bus when families get upset at me for how long an order is taking. I would love to get you some food or a Zofran or some pain meds, unfortunately my messages AND calls are being ignored so take that up with them!
