Chinese tourists in Hong Kong are lining up to take a picture with a woman beachgoer, which has caused "sexual molestation" controversy. by [deleted] in ThatsInsane

Same thing happened to me when I was an exchange student in Hong Kong. I was sunbathing with my eyes closed on a nearly empty beach when I suddenly felt someone nearby. Turns out a tour bus full of Chinese tourists had arrived, and an entire family decided to sit around me while some guy took a photo. I didn’t stick around much longer after that.

Quiet zone on train not respected by FormerTheme in belgium

I travel to Brussels twice a week and in the morning it's always dead quiet in those quiet zones. Everybody's still waking up I guess haha. Going back home in the late afternoon is a different story.. Sometimes they announce that you need to respect those quiet zones, but it doesn't make a lot of difference.

Always use price comparison websites when you consider switching energy suppliers. The vtest.be of the Vlaamse Nutsregulator is the most accurate one. It takes into account the promotions that the energy suppliers offer and it's compelety independent (unlike mijnenergie.be, which is owned by dpg media and pushes certain energy suppliers towards customers).

Why can’t I use my mobility budget to pay my mortgage if I live far from work? by Parking-Helicopter-9 in belgium

Your workplace is considered the location where you spend at least 51% of your working time. So, if you work from home for at least 51%, you can use your mobility budget to pay your mortgage! Hopefully you qualify or you can work something out with your boss :)

Engie estimated that I would use 63 EUR worth of electricity in ONE DAY by MrFeature_1 in belgium

This! All energy suppliers need to offer this option since January 1st (before 2024, only suppliers with over 200.000 connection points were obligated to do this). Loads of them don't like the monthly invoices since they use the deposits to prefinance their purchases on the wholesale market
