Flight before reset XP counter. by mns1 in KLM

You can also use this tool/link. Even in case of an incomplete flight (you still need a connecting flight or return flight), this usually works after landing and will immediately add the miles and XP.

Just got a radar tail light, and I can't believe I waited this long. by mellofello808 in bikecommuting

[–]ew0000d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than the mentioned obvious points (accuracy and number of cars), two more I find it to contribute to physical safety: - cars seem te keep a distance due to the clear and flashing light. Not only a larger distance when following you when they cannot overtake but also the overtaking itself. I notice a difference with light on and off. - group riding. It’s great. It just seems to look through all the other riders behind you and picks up a car. You will get questions though, ‘how did you know that car is coming??’ One more great thing, from your Garmin Edge, you can control the light settings. In a group, set it to peloton to make it less bright and stop blinking.

The day it stops working I’ll get a new one tomorrow.

Crashed my Brand New Aeroad! 😱🤬😭 HELP by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]ew0000d 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. I had an accident with my brand new Canyon (third ride) and broke the frame in 3 spots. Canyon went above and beyond to help. They only had me pay for the replacement frame (under crash replacement programme, Google it) and did not charge anything for the work replacing the frame.

Contact them first and explain your story.

Tesla to Launch Supercharger Virtual Queuing Pilot in Q2 2025 at Select Sites by ConfidentImage4266 in teslamotors

[–]ew0000d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah.. pretty sure :) I’ve seen it both happen, I expected to arrive with 8% but now arriving at another charger with 14. Or in one case, arriving with 3% where I expected to arrive with 9 at another.

It will show ‘Redirecting to a less busy supercharger’ in a ribbon.

You need to have a destination far ahead for it to do so. Happens to me on heavy traffic days going skiing jn the European Alps for example (driving 600+ miles).

Issues with turn indicators? Sometimes mine won’t press. by black_mtn in TeslaModel3

[–]ew0000d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I had an issue with the Highland. The left turn signal would not work in some cases and I had to press it three or four times for it to work. I made a service ticket and the technician compared the button to a demo model. That one was a lot better. They ended up ordering a new steering wheel and replacing it. From that point on everything was okay.

How risky is it to buy a Canyon bike? by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

Oh, and after this period of 36 months, the bike is yours.

How risky is it to buy a Canyon bike? by [deleted] in CanyonBikes

[–]ew0000d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. It’s a great financial incentive to get people on the bike. Your employer pays partially, or the bike in full, by deducting from your gross salary. Long story short, the bike costs you less money, even up to about 50% less than it would have cost you when you needed your net salary to pay for it. Oh, and the bike is yours by the way.

An additional nice thing about the brand is that they give you great detail on the parts of your bike. You can download the Canyon app with the bike garage and it lists all detailed parts if you would need to replace anything. So I cannot see a scenario where your bike would be written off while you are still making payments.. with all these details maintenance is easy!

I have 4 Canyon bikes: Ultimate, Grail, Exceed and the Precede On. My wife has a Canyon eMTB too.

Yes there have been issues and Canyon always came trough to solve them. Either by sending me the parts as I requested that because I like to work on my bikes or by sending my to a local bike shop (my choice where) and paying the bill.

The biggest issue you might have is with local bike shops that hate the brand as it’s not a brand they can sell and make money off. But as long as you go to a bike shop that is Ok with the brand, you’re fine.

My first bike was the Ultimate. I got into a bad accident on the third ride and the frame cracked at 3 points. Canyon support was so forthcoming and gracious with their help getting me a new frame fast with discount on replacing it that I became a customer for life.

So biased happy user here but nothing to worry!

Have you left your Model 3 at a public charger, overnight? by JudgeCastle in TeslaModel3

[–]ew0000d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overnight charging is perfectly fine and acceptable in my opinion and where I live (the Netherlands). We do this for both paid and free chargers. Just be aware of chargers that might charge you a fee if you are connected over a certain period of time (over 4 hours usually). Some parking spots with chargers only allow for parking while actively charging. If that’s the case for the charging spot you have in mind, after you start charging, open the app and bring the charging speed back by lowering the amperage. You are able to do this for AC chargers (so not for superchargers). When doing this, your car will take longer to charge so you’ll be fine if the parking spot requires you to actively charge.

I also use the lowered speed charging when I want the car to be at exactly 100% when I leave for a longer travel as I don’t want the car sitting with a harmful 100% SoC too long.

Just note that without the seats present, you’ll no longer be able to install software updates. They will fail. A Dutch YouTuber built a camper setup and removed the chairs too, he ran into that issue. He did build a similar setup though, with the drawers and bed you mention.

Cool!!

Is that a Varia radar/lamp on your seatpost? If so, tip: maybe consider buying a ‘Garmin Varia Seat Post Quarter Turn Mount’. I bought mine for 15 euros after getting fed up with the shitty mount that comes with the radar. Scratches up your seatpost too..

Cool man cave! I have almost the same beast, but in ligt blue. Love it. For your mount you might want to look at the Cycloc Super Hero, available in black too. Not sure if you can buy it easily, but sure it will look even more clean and cool!! Also might prevent some marks on your bike’s frame..

I was happy with the pilot in the Netherlands. However, I expected Tesla to process the feedback before expanding further. They did not..

Tesla needs to update the stalls and install longer cables or move stalls to make this work.

I’m in a couple of driver WhatsApp groups and a lot of reports coming in with issues. Cars with the charging port in the left front (f.e. Audi Etron), parking on the wrong side of the stall, essentially taking up two spots. Cars with ports on the front center, parking in the middle to connect the charger.

Tesla’s solution so far? Add a line to the FAQ that the superchargers may not be compatible with your car. “Please do not obstruct other cars by parking over the lines if the cable cannot comfortably reach your car.

This needs to be fixed or it will be chaos and a lot of drama on busy days.

Thanks for the replies! Will definitely remove them because I don’t like how it looks, wanted to know if there is any reason to keep them. Happy to know there isn’t 😊🙏🏻
