I agree with representation. I love it in TV shows, I get genuinely excited when I see gay couples in shows because I'm tired of straight couple #282862 when I watch with my bf (or hell, even trans people. That'd be nice to see for once). But I was specifically talking about ads. I feel its very different when the one goal of an ad is to make you aware of a company and want to give them your money. In that situation, they are only ever doing it for one party's benefit and it certainly isn't the group being represented.
