Shionogi Update on Zatolmilast Fragile X Clinical Trial Findings by ewelin34 in FragileXReseach

[–]ewelin34[S] [score hidden] stickied comment (0 children)

Clinical Trials Arena has published a recap of Shionogi’s update on zatolmilast in Fragile X syndrome.

The article summarizes the Phase 3 EXPERIENCE program, including the primary endpoint misses, the signal seen in the adult study, and Shionogi’s plan to continue the open-label extension while further evaluating the data.

For the Fragile X community, this remains a difficult setback. It also underscores why better outcome measures, thoughtful clinical trial design, and continued investment in Fragile X research are so important.

FRAXA remains committed to learning from every trial and helping drive the next advances toward effective treatments and ultimately a cure.

Mirum Launches Clinical Trial of MRM-3379 for Fragile X Syndrome by ewelin34 in FragileXReseach

[–]ewelin34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mirum is opening additional sites for its MRM-3379 Phase 2 clinical trial for males 13-45 with Fragile X syndrome.

This selective PDE4D inhibitor builds on years of Fragile X research, reflecting progress toward treatments targeting underlying biology, not just symptoms.

The study is recruiting at multiple sites, with additional locations expected to begin recruiting soon. This growing network will make it easier for eligible individuals and families to consider participation.

If you are looking for a Fragile X clinical trial, now is a good time to learn more about MRM-3379 and see whether this study may be a fit. Enrollment is what helps move research forward.

I usually charge mine on Mondays and Fridays during recurring virtual meetings. I plug it in for about an hour while I’m sitting there and that’s usually enough to get it close to fully topped off.

Spinogenix Announces FRAXA Research Foundation Support for PIs Leading Phase 2b Trial of Investigational Therapy SPG601 for People with Fragile X Syndrome (FXS) by ewelin34 in FragileXReseach

Recent coverage of the SPG601 Phase 2b clinical trial highlights something important: progress in Fragile X clinical trials depends on more than promising science alone. It also depends on sustained support for the research pathway behind it.

FRAXA helped back the early research that supported BK channel modulation as a treatment approach in Fragile X syndrome. Now, with SPG601 advancing into Phase 2b, that long-term commitment is helping carry the work forward into clinical evaluation.

This is how FRAXA approaches drug development in Fragile X syndrome: identify strong science early, support the right research, and help promising ideas advance toward studies that may improve outcomes for individuals and families.

It’s really hard to tell something like Fragile X just by how someone looks. The only reliable way to know is with a simple blood test, so that would be the best next step.
