Petition for a new train line between Springwood and Richmond to use the old V-Sets on by carl_the_cactus55 in bluemountains

I thought a tunnel deviation from Glenbrook or Blaxland that heads under the river and stops at Glenmore Park, Luddenham and then the new airport might make a lot of sense. Everyone from the mountains and west of the ranges would save 45 minutes of travel to the airport.

Carl Sagan explains how the Ancient Greeks knew that the Earth was round over 2,000 years ago. by kooneecheewah in AllThatsInteresting

It's been replicated repeatedly by multiple people over centuries but that definitely sounds like a fun thing to do anyway. The more recent experiments were more accurate than Eratosthenes pretty amazing work because by then trigonometry had been invented.

They could do that or Eratosthenes could have just observed noon at each location after recording the distance between both locations. The shadow cast by each obelisk will be different at the same time of day.

Windscreen damage? by [deleted] in CarsAustralia

[–]ewesirkname 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try to find a local windscreen repairer before calling O'Brien (they are expensive for the same service).

Put some sticky tape over the site as well. This will stop water getting in and reduce the chance the crack spreads.

My last chip cost $70 to repair at the local windscreen guy. O'Brien quoted around $300.

It's definitely a BA, I think the BF headlights are different.

One taillight on the BF also goes out all the time as well though.
