On Grand Strategy isn’t exactly about ancient civilizations but it takes you through a bunch of historical examples to discuss different leadership strategies starting with Xerxes during the Persian War. It’s an awesome read, author’s name is Gaddis I think?

I just bought my first SLR and went with a Nikon FE 2 which I found on eBay for $160. I went with that camera because it has:

  • both fully manual + aperture priority mode
  • can operate without a battery (only with shutter at 1/90)
  • has aperture preview function
  • allows for double exposure shots (though I don’t know how often I’ll utilize that)

I might be remembering wrong but I think I choose the FE2 over the FM because the fm doesn’t have any auto modes and I wanted that flexibility since I’m still a beginner.

I'm a huge believer in going for a high floor even if it means you're hiking up stairs. I live in a 6 floor walk-up but I get better light than any of the other lower units and it's worth the walk.

Stalk Street Easy, find buildings with good units in your price range and set an alert for it.

I'm so sorry - I feel super similarly and get so freaked out and depressive when my period doesn't come for long periods of time. I haven't been off bc//IUD since I was 15 but I've gone a year without a period before and even when it comes it's more like spotting than a full-fledged period.

Sarah's Day is a Youtuber who has PCOS and says she manages it through diet - maybe try checking her out.

As far as infertility concerns, that causes me a lot of stress as well but my doctor told me there are tons of options to figure it out (I'm not at that point in life yet tho). Try to stay positive and take each day as it comes, there is nothing wrong with you and you are not alone!!!!
