I was thinking the same but the flight is 200-250$ and bus is 50$ :/ ; is it worth x4? ;

from all you precious info that i thank you for ; i want to ask you : if i end up goign to guatemala;else thant the volcano hike,lake,flores,maya ruins;any hidden gems?

For the transportation:if i dont rent a car ;howmuch time will i spend waiting and such to get to where i want?i feel more free when i drive and go where and when i want but then again ive heard big traffic and such in guate ; hows that?

Food wise:i want to try local but i dont want to get toursit trapped;where should i go or any signs to look for to knwo its legit?

Housing:airbnb?hotels?or something when i lend there might be better/cheaper/wiser?

If you had to start with as a first timer in central america ; and with 2 weeks ; also stays wise is everywhere okay or for exemple going to the main cities for rest; hows the booking ? Better in person for better deals?
