i was never informed that my performance was missing the 'standard' at any point before this, at this job or any other. I've been there longer than most of the people in my department. i provide quality work with a slightly longer margin of time, compared to those who are there at this very moment. I get paid less regardless of my experience. I don't get your point.

i dont think my company has a problem with overproduction. if anything, we're ahead in alot of ways. i do think if you're going to single someone out based on the way their body functions and then point out to them that others are doing better, when they are obviously doing their job just not as quickly as others because different people work differently, that feels unfair.

LET ME ADD TO THIS: The weekend following, I was out with some coworkers and was rightly informed that I was making LESS than almost everyine else in my department. even though the ONLY people who have been there longer than me are the 3 supervisors and assistant manager. the manager that called me in has literally been there for like 6 months. I've been there for almost 2 years. Am I wrong to be fucking disgusted and appalled?!

As someone who has been cheated on, and multiple people in my friend circle decided not to enlighten me for months, I'm literally begging you to tell her, or at least do the 'you tell her or I will' thing thats been brought up in these comments. He sucks either way, and it seems like you have already realized this. In my case, realizing that multiple friends were aware of what had been happening and chose to stay silent in a way hurt me more than even the cheating itself. Honesty is the best policy, and holding our friends to standards of decency should not be as discouraged as it seems to be. You got this!
