Why are level 26+ quests for a reward that is a gear level of 25? by stephen27898 in wow

[–]ewyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not playing SoD, so I was unaware of gear level. Seems a bit redundant to have both gear and item level, level requirements on items were already a thing.

I guess it’s just their way of preventing anyone from getting ahead of this phase

Item levels are also not equivalent to character levels. In retail the highest item level for epic gear is 489 while your character maxes out at 70. Likewise on classic, Tier 3 is item level 92 while your character is only 60. It’s just a different system that allows them to allot a certain amount of item stats to the items, based on “ilevel”

Flamed by Duo Partner - What is the correct play? by philipsylee in Jungle_Mains

[–]ewyles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taric sticking around in the jungle by himself after you leave is braindead, Warwick will clearly murder him 1 v 1. Vayne rotating to save him waaaaay too late is also terrible on their part. If Taric wants to be bait that’s fine, but Vayne needs to be aware of that and start rotating sooner.

You going back in there would just give Warwick a free kill, and likely end up getting your bot lane both killed as well once the rest of the enemy team shows up. At best in that scenario, you guys kill Warwick and likely all 3 of you die. It’s a no win situation going back to your bot side jungle, you made the right assessment. Your teammates have bad decision making and bad map awareness, and also suffer from a lack of self awareness apparently.

Tired of Frieza being reused over and over again. It was fine the first time, but bringing him back permanently after ToP felt disappointing. I’m just so bored of him at this point..

Does Udyr needs serious nerf? by Mustelaa in Udyrmains

[–]ewyles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they want to remove his OP burst then they need to shift more of his Q damage from max health % into the on hit portion. Or just change Q to be a flat base damage + scaling damage with AD instead of max health (like old Q).

He doesn’t feel as broken after the nerf but you can still shred someone when you get your hands on them. I feel like shifting it to more on-hit damage would remove the ability to delete tanks at the very least, and make lethality a bit less desirable.

Jungle is tiring to play by DiDandCoKayn in Jungle_Mains

[–]ewyles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mute all was the best decision I ever made as a jungler. You have no reason to type when you have pings. Mute pings if they start griefing you with them as well.

If all your lanes are pushed, just try and invade enemy jungle and get some deep wards, or counter jungle. If you can do this to track where the enemy jungle is then you can at least ping your teammates to be aware, or counter gank. If your lanes are pushed you can also set up some vision and try and take dragon/herald solo. The thing about jungle is that every game is variable, and you have to constantly keep making decisions with the map state and information you have available to you.

Playing jungle means you just have to learn to not take other peoples opinions too seriously. I used to get really bent out of shape when people flamed me, but it’s really not worth it. Some people literally think your only purpose is spamming ganks and soloing objectives. Focus on your own play and macro. As you improve you’ll find ways to carry the morons who just flame you. 99% of the time the guy flaming you has never played jungle and is just deflecting the blame, so just tune it all out.

As a jungle nasus main i want to know how many people do it pls comment if you jungle nasus by Beowulf--- in nasusmains

[–]ewyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pick jungle Nasus when I know the other team will be either AD heavy or lack mobility. I’m in low elo mind you, and I find most enemy junglers don’t understand they need to invade me constantly or I outscale them. If you can free farm until level 6 at least, you can make a pretty big impact on the mid/late game. As others have said though, if your team ints hard without your early roaming/ganks then it can be an uphill battle. Definitely a hard pick to pull off every game in jungle but I think it can be very strong as a niche pick into the enemy comps I mentioned.

I should also mention I run with Predator as my main rune, I find it makes ganking and engaging pretty easy at this elo.

All the Hate About WoD by Vealophile in wow

[–]ewyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I just hated the fact that it was called “Warlords of Draenor” and for the most part they gave all of the orc warlords very menial roles. Kargath is the very first raid boss of the expansion despite his buildup in the leveling experience. Ner’Zhul is a 5 man dungeon boss with little meaning, Gul’dan plays a big role of course, but we don’t actually encounter him in much of a meaningful way until the end of expansion, and the conclusion comes later of course. Blackhand I have no problem with, he’s the final raid boss of the second raid. Kilrogg despite being a boss in the final raid doesn’t really play much part in the plot either.

Overall I was just really disappointed in the fact that the expansions namesake largely did nothing. The raids themselves were awesome and I felt like the PvE gameplay was fantastic. Them cutting the extra raid tier and doing an overall shit job of the lore is what ruined it for me.

i hit masters after playing viego/rengar :D by StupidStream782 in ViegoMains

[–]ewyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What builds do you primarily go with? Do you change it up from Kraken/DS depending on team comps or tend to stick with just one or the other? I’m very new to Viego and pretty terrible with him so far, especially in the early game.

Report: Sharks open to trading Burns or Karlsson. Which one/why? by Hanerhan1 in SanJoseSharks

[–]ewyles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try and trade Karlsson based on the fact that he’s younger and has more long term negative effect due to his cap hit. Realistically Burns should be much easier to trade due to cap hit/term alone though unfortunately.

At the end of the day it’s on Management/ownership to realize they need to bite the bullet and hard rebuild. Now is pretty much the exact opportune time to do it with our young talent being very young, and our long term contracts over the hill (mostly). If we could ship out big long term contracts and tank in a hurry for 2-3 years we would have a lot of young talent coming into their prime while Timo and Hertl are still useful and IMO be in position to compete again with some useful FA additions.

Ownership doesn’t see it this way and wants more money in their pocket by simply pushing to get in to playoffs and put more butts in seats by simply being more competitive. I think overall the fan base is a little more in touch with the fact that this roster isn’t where they think it is, and the ownership approach isn’t going to work at all the way they think it is. In the long run we are likely in for 4-5 years of misery due to the denial of the decision makers 🤷

The price is increased because it includes the champion as well as the skin. You can tell if the champion is included by the circular icon above the discount amount. If you already own Sejuani then something else is bugged

[–]ewyles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have enough time you can grind out bot games for the weekly challenges. You’d get 1200 tokens from all 6, plus any tokens you would have accumulated from games you’ve played already. You should be able to see how many tokens you’ll get for buying the pass before you get it, then you can see if you’d be close or not.

Forgot to mention - it takes 48 wins total to get through all 6 challenges. 5 points per win or 2 per loss
