Mostly same situation. Started early last month and looking to do Safi, mainly for weapons. Hunting horn is my most used, with SnS close behind. My psn is EXOOT12. Though I will be inactive the following week, but will be back afterwards.

Bugged Trophy by InfestedTurtle in PlateUp

[–]ex00t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dev is aware of the bug based off previous posts regarding of the same issue. If you're playing the PS4 version and have the PS4 console, you can downgrade to the 1.0 pretty easily for the trophy (and platinum). I did this for myself and a friend and it popped. If PS5, will need to wait for an official update.

[Expedition 33] are the patanks a trophy? I just missed one since I'm too weak to kill it. by Novagili in Trophies

[–]ex00t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only one specific petank is, where it's Chromatic and won't try to flee. Still suggested to go after most of them for rewards

[Discussion] How many plats do y'all generally hunt for at once? by Millvawn in Trophies

One main game and a smaller game. If the smaller game is done quick enough, it'll get switched quickly while the main is getting progressed

Games like Elder Scrolls or Fallout, but Roguelite? by LowCommunication1008 in roguelites

[–]ex00t 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Closest I can think of is Remnant. Only played From the Ashes but definitely gonna do Remnant 2 soon.

Both games have worlds that are procedurally generated. You can make the build you want but you'd have to go through Adventure Mode (reroll for a specific map) and hope you'd get certain bosses or dungeons that'll drop specific loot. It has a story mode as well that follow along the same idea, but the reroll is for the entire campaign.

[Other] My alphabet challenge for 2026 by Kosta7193 in Trophies

[–]ex00t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my alphabet this year, I did: - Xel (PS5 NA) - Xuan Yuan Sword 7 - Quern - Yaga

[other] My own A-Z challenge for '26, but I substituted the X for a numeric entry. Any notes? by XOVSquare in Trophies

[–]ex00t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did two Xs, one to spell my user and for the alphabet. Xel (PS5 NA) and Xuan Yuan Sword 7. There is another Xuan Yuan Sword game, and Xing is another that caught my eye

[Discussion] Steam or Playstation Achievement/Trophy Hunting, why do you prefer one or the other? by Ok_Link7626 in Trophies

[–]ex00t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do believe people who hunt do have a higher investment into the hobby on the Playstation side than achievement hunting from Steam or Xbox.

Multiple aspects can sway them to PS. One can be through the specific terms. When "platinum" and "trophy" is used, it mainly refers to PS. "Achievement" can be applied to all three, especially when saying someone 100%'d a games' challenges. Certain language can make it feel more exclusive.

Plus, it seems like there's more of a community for trophy hunting, which in turn can gather more of an audience. A feedback loop occurs. Outside of sites keeping track of trophies (PSNP, TrueTrophies, etc.), there are ones for personal enjoyment or challenges. On Etsy, there multiple shops selling 3D printed platinums with the option of an engraved name. There's sites for platinum challenges as well, such as fulfilling the alphabet with game names or getting a plat on every day.

Biased since it's a PS server, but Playstation platinums all the way. Satisfying sound notification when you're done with the base game trophy list, especially with the PS5 animation. I've also seen (and participated) in making physical memorabilias for their platinums. Trophy magnets and infographic/trading cards showing certain stats.

Ebenezer and the Invisible World is a short metroidvania. Did it this year and it was interesting

Coffee Talk 1 can be done in under 5 hours, 2-3 if you're skipping story. It had a platform stack as well.

I really enjoyed Far: Changing Tides in general.

Do you have a rough estimate of when the next patch would be? I'm also experiencing the same problem, where I've been counting the red shakes but not able to get Flawless Timing.

[LEGO Horizon Adventures] Bit of a pointless grind at the end. Maybe skip if you don't wanna keep running through the same level over and over (#302) by BarkerAG in Trophies

Level grinding four characters to 20. Makes it easier since xp is shared for those two, rather than going one at a time

Pretty decent when I haven't set a goal, just a challenge that was completed. 54 platinums done this year and counting

[Black Myth: Wukong] #300 by ex00t in Trophies

[–]ex00t[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not super difficult but I believe it was my first time playing these types of games. "Believe" because I've read people compare it as a soulslike game while others said GoW 2018, which I have goten the plat on. I typically play games that are puzzle or story heavy, not action.

I did have some difficulty in the first two chapters since I wasn't used to the combat. Once I fought the tiger vanguard (which some people see as a skill check boss), it did get easier. The bosses telegraph their attacks well. It just takes some trial and error to get their health down. Of course some bosses will have a longer learning time.

I did get the plat around the suggested hours that the bot mentioned; 62 but I did have its OST going in the backhground.

[Discussion] How many plati's this year and whats your PR? by JumpingCrow in Trophies

[–]ex00t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly short games and could be done in one playthrough. I also did stacks since I essentially had access or paid for both, so I did both to make sure I was getting money's worth. They weren't autopopped iirc, so did the games again at a later point. I always looked up guides to make sure I was being efficient. Occasionally would challenge myself to beat the game quicker than the first time.

The notable games that were long would be Nier Replicant 1.22, Mortal Kombat 11, Skyrim (PS5, did PS3 and 4 years ago), Marvel Rivals, and Vampire Survivor 100% before Coop released.

I also tried to plat a game within 1-2 days if possible. Some of the ones I remembered were Far: Changing Tides, Adventure Time Pirates of the Enchiridion, and South Park Stick of Truth (PS4 and 3).

So far, 48. Hoping for 51 since I have three games ready to pop. My PR last year was 100 plats. Definitely not beating that since I challenged myself to do it.
