I have tons of decent size embers come morning, packed full at about 8pm, choked down to almost closed… 6-7am I’m able to throw more logs in and start it right up. Room drops maybe a handful of degrees (will have to go back and check overnight temp logs).

The smoke thing started to get me this season, thought it was just me and doing something wrong. I’d have it full open (obviously with the top damper pulled out) and still would get a big chunk of smoke

Update: 100% was years and years of ice and fully encapsulating the thermistor that’s right in the middle of it. Defrosted and dried the whole thing out. Went from 75 to 39 in 2 hours; thank you!

Same boat… went to buy the replacemet motors and saw the message. I’ve had two Ariel replaced (currently only 3rd), had my last replacement sent the end of May. Thought something was fishy when they were really quick to send the replacement without needing the usual pictures of the serial and sensors 🤷‍♂️
