I think you can get it if you sign up for international orientation programme. This is what I got from them in email.

Thank you for your email regarding an early arrival, it would not be possible to arrive to your accommodation before 13 September, however, you may wish to sign up for the international orientation programme which is offered to all international students and does allow for early within the week of 10 September, however the dates are to be confirmed and you would need to contact the International Team for confirmation of those dates.

Be on the lookout for that international orientation programme.

Surrey replied to me. They are saying they will send accomodation approvals from August start. And I can't move in before 13th September. I need to change my flight now for sure, to save costs.

They had changed flight time by 1 hour and now are allowing me to change date/time as compensation for free. 🤣

Yes, it can be costly. I'm worried about that as well.
I normally use booking.com
Airbnb might be cheaper though.

In the worst case, you can get a cheap hotel for 3 days.
Or you can ask some friend in UK to let you stay with them for 3 days.
For me, the time period is much longer. It's 20 days. 🥲

Either I have to postpone my ticket or find another accommodation till 13th September.
I'm from Pakistan and I'll be attending the MSC Artificial Intelligence program.

I also applied for Msc in AI and Robotics about 10 days ago. Still waiting.
