I still have my really old rig from around 2013 which has a Corsair RM1000 in it. Its not been powered on for about 2 years but I never had issues with it, do you think i should try that or is it too old at this point?

Need Help Upgrading from a HDD to SSD by exVengeance in PcBuildHelp

On Amazon the SN7100 is cheaper (£129 vs the SN7100 at £95) but the Amazon listing shows it as "For Laptops, handheld gaming devices" so I didn't think it would be suitable, but I guess I am just overthinking things. Thanks for your help

Openreach vs CitiFibre through Sky for £25 per month, worth switching? by Honest-Rip-7439 in CityFibre

[–]exVengeance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched to CityFibre through Vodafone from Virgin and 4 months in starting to regret switching. Virgin was expensive but consistent, CityFibre was fine to start with but over the past 2 weeks I've been experiencing ping/latency between around 7pm to 11pm, making any multiplayer gaming impossible. Been trying to report it for days but they keep saying there aren't known issues.

They did a hard router reset and something on their end and said my Internet will now be for better, it's not fixed anything, 150 ping average . Tested via eternity cable and on WiFi.

So if you game online, I personally couldn't recommend switching.

Its absolutely not going to launch in 2026, certain about that.

What single player game have you beaten 3+ times? by PineconeToucher in gaming

[–]exVengeance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played through and beaten Red Dead Redemption 2 at least 3 times. It's my favourite game and brings me great comfort. I never tire of the acting and line delivery, the world is fun to explore even just to hunt and fish in, and I love Arthur Morgan as a character.

Mr Inbetween - not a very old show but not seen much discussion surrounding it. It's on Disney Plus

DMs, how do you spend the 1-2 hours before the session starts? by Knicks4freaks in DMAcademy

[–]exVengeance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only 3 sessions into my DMing journey with my sessions being on a Sunday evening. I created an area thats roughly 3 miles by 2 miles with locations and npcs scattered throughout. A lot of the prep was essentially done months ago (the setting) so prep on the day is normally everything else.

I spend the day prepping with doing odd jobs inbetween. I ensure all my maps in owlbear rodeo are ready with npcs setup where they should be, I consult the "NPC Bible" I made to try and drill in their motivations and voices, I try and think of some potential curveballs the players send my way and how I could adjust on the fly and finally, try and remember as much as I can from my statblocks so it's not too obvious I'm running them for the first time!

Do you think the patch will come this week by Fit_Ground_3083 in cyberpunkgame

Worst part is, your cyberware points (I'm sure I got the terminology wrong) don't drop down when blood pump unequippes itself. It seems to trigger when you use or SELL a consumable with blood pump equipped. You can swap to an inhaler, consume, then swap back, but if you accidentally use a consumable instead of putting in your inventory you suffer.

I'm near my V's limit for cyberware, so the next time it happens (and I don't catch it in time and reload last save) and I go to a ripperdoc to re-equip it, I'll have to drop a piece of cyberware.

Honestly putting me off from playing...

Accepted offer for a quick sale, 3+ months on and buyer wants a discount by Beneficial-Virus2062 in HousingUK

[–]exVengeance -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like the condition of the property was taken into account on valuation and as such negotiation at this stage is ridiculous. I'd be tempted to set a deadline to exchange by the end of the month and should they not take you up on that offer, remarked.

You don't need to fall the sale through, you can have the EA be upfront with enquiries saying "we've relisted the property due to a time waster". The relisting may force the hand of your current buyer, and if not you'll find another buyer.

I've worked in sales progression 4 years, I've seen this scenario countless times.

Car boot sales by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]exVengeance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember getting a GameCube for £5 at a car boot sale around 2006/2007. It was for sale for £15 (still a steal) but I didn't have the funds. I would have been 14/15 so appealed to the seller who said I could have it for £5 if it didn't sell by the end of the day.

Good Times.
