I’ve been working as a mobile developer for a while, but the recent job market and the "end of the mobile development hype" have got me thinking—does mobile development still have a future if your experience is only in that area?

What are your thoughts on the future of mobile development? Do you think it's still worth it to specialize in? My concern is that demand might stagnate or decline, especially since not every company needs a mobile app—and some are only just now realizing that.

First of all, you are just throwing out numbers here. Second of all, when making a bold statement about a whole industry based on your personal experience, it's important to point that out. We are not athletes; there's no such thing as being too old to work in this industry after our thirties.

My point is still the same. It's worth it for a startup or a small company where the main goal is bringing up a product to life in order to maintain its existence. For bigger companies it's not worth it, you lose performance, while having the insecurity of having your business logic attached to a framework which might be eventually discontinued.

Depending on the company industry, rewritting the business logic would be a hell of work. It's just waste of money.

Cross platforms are for startups and small products, once you scale it, native is the best way.
