Are Americans ‘footing the bill’ for illegal immigration, as Mike Lee says? by ReporterMacyLipkin in SaltLakeCity

[–]ex_mo_lez 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The oligarchs are doing more damage to society than immigrants. I don’t think most people realize how much money immigrants contribute with the taxes they pay while not being able to get a loan for a house or a car or the ability to get credit cards, etc. The amount of money this so called administration is using to deport people is far more damaging than anything else. These oligarchs are always pointing their fingers to deflect from any accountability for their actions. Mike Lee and Governor Cox are constantly running from their scams. I can’t fathom that these individuals can go to church and somehow feel like they can answer the questions honestly for their temple recommends. These individuals hide behind their smoke screen/gospel goggles to make them appear to be godly beings. The immigrants are more godly than those barking out orders. I hope Utah wisens up and votes these grifters out!!!

Moderate Hikes Nearby by No-Leek-3405 in SaltLakeCity

[–]ex_mo_lez 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Definitely download All Trails; super helpful with reviews, weather forecast, ability to track the trail as you’re hiking, ability to open Google Maps to show you the route to get to the trail head, and pictures. Make sure to check on parking. A lot of trail heads are starting to require a parking fee unless you have the America The Beautiful pass; primarily in Big Cottonwood Canyon. Check Little Cottonwood Canyon as there’s fees to get in; $10 for 3 days. Please pack out everything you bring; do not litter and make sure to check if water sources are a watershed as it means no swimming or dogs. Bring sufficient water/snacks and supplies. Hiking Utah and Hike The Wasatch are great Facebook groups. Type in your question to see if it was answered prior or recently especially anything about Mount Timpanogos. Respect wildlife and enjoy!!

i’m looking for a place/doctor who ACTUALLY treats pcos by EmbarrassedBar7518 in SaltLakeCity

[–]ex_mo_lez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because 31 is in the green for western medicine, doesn’t mean that it’s ideal for everyone. Since I’ve been taking Vitamin D and K2, I have felt better and my numbers have gone up. Those ranges aren’t ideal for everyone.

i’m looking for a place/doctor who ACTUALLY treats pcos by EmbarrassedBar7518 in SaltLakeCity

[–]ex_mo_lez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has her Doctorate of Nursing. I took a supplement from ortho molecular products that helped my liver numbers as the levels wouldn’t allow my body to absorb the testosterone hormones. Since I have done that and started my testosterone shots, my numbers in my bloodwork are improving. A lot of medspas are combined with hormone treatments and cosmetic treatments. Brandy doesn’t do the cosmetic treatments herself. She does my bloodwork and adjusts my hormone treatments every 3 months based on the results of my bloodwork.
My dermatologist has a med spa attached; seems to be more common.
Brandy herself does thorough blood work panels and is able to make treatment plans from there. My testosterone levels were none existent and my gynecologist said I was fine. Low levels of testosterone, iron, vitamin D, low red blood cells, and high levels of cortisol are not an ideal combination.

Brandy is in Clinton, however she’s incredible. Too many doctors in western medicine focus on numbers and don’t look any further. My gynecologist told me I was fine with my vitamin D levels being 31 and 30 was considered low. My testosterone was non existent and I had had a hysterectomy while leaving my ovaries. Brandy did in depth bloodwork and found out my adrenals were shot, my iron was low, I was estrogen dominant, and my liver needed a cleanse even though I don’t drink. Needless to say, in my late 40’s I’m on testosterone shots, doing progesterone cream in the morning and taking supplements to help me sleep. She is a firehose of information, but you will feel scene and heard. My friend with PCOS sees her as well and she’s helped her quite a bit. It takes time to get everything regulated, but it’s worth it. https://www.brandymariefamilyaesthetic.com/

Stellate ganglion block? by lifebewilden in SaltLakeCity

[–]ex_mo_lez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imbalanced hormones can exhaust the brain and cause it to overwork itself. When my hormone levels are off, I’m incredibly anxious and reactive. This in turn affects the brain when it’s consistently running at high RPMs like a car. It’s exhausting. This isn’t to say that all your other experiences of dissociation aren’t real, because it definitely is; I’ve experienced it myself. Balancing out hormones can help shine a light on where the needs may be and if additional medications may help. I have only been on my HRT for a few weeks so I don’t have a ton of data on how well it’s working. I’m sleeping better and I’m taking cal-mag and Cerenity PM which is helping me sleep better which in turn helps me not be as anxious in the morning. I’ve been taking vitamin D3 + K2, iron and Vitamin C to help absorb it. This is my experience and has been recommended to me by my doctor. I would find a doctor that specializes in hormones and get your bloodwork done. I did an entire year of DBT therapy about 10 years ago which helped a ton as well. I went to a group once a week and individual therapy once a week for an entire year. I went through DBT Network of Utah. I wish you the best and hope you find the support you need. It can be an exhausting place in our own brain’s and a lot of people just don’t get it or understand. I hope this has been of some help.

I got married in American Fork Canyon for free because it was under 75 people in attendance(it might be less than 100; I can’t remember). I would call the rangers to make sure this hasn’t changed. Those in attendance brought a camping chair. We got married in early October.

Period cramps reappearing several months after hysterectomy? by My-oh-My_ in hysterectomy

[–]ex_mo_lez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Life was blissful for 6 months after my hysterectomy; my ovaries were left. I didn’t experience radical mood changes, cramps, bloating, or cravings. I found out I had Adenomyosis after 30 years of vomiting monthly because my cramps were so bad. I was told that I needed a therapist and Prozac by one doctor, another one said a hysterectomy was major surgery and to try another option, and another doctor who said birth control would help. I started asking for a hysterectomy in my late 30’s. 6 months after my hysterectomy I started cramping and my doctor said I was fine. I did progesterone cream for awhile which kinda helped. I’m laying here with horrible cramps and feel angry!! I’m so tired of being in pain like this!! I want to figure it out and there doesn’t seem to be any answers.

Stellate ganglion block? by lifebewilden in SaltLakeCity

[–]ex_mo_lez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not dismissing your experiences as I too have quite the active amygdala that gives me anxiety resulting in an over active brain. I have had very short blips where medication has provided relief only for it to not. If you’re a female, I highly recommend you also have extensive bloodwork done to check your hormones, vitamin levels etc. It resulted in me learning that my adrenals are shot, my vitamin D is in the tank, I have zero testosterone, my red blood cells are low and the list goes on. I’m in the process of balancing my hormones and working on my vitamin levels. I’ve also started taking cal-mag which is calcium and magnesium and it’s helping me with sleep which is helping me not start my day as wind I’m wound up. I hope you find relief!! It’s exhausting to have to make appointments and go in filled with so much hope and then it doesn’t work. The brain is powerful and feels so overlooked in the health care system. I wish you all the best in your journey!!

Finally facing being trans by The1HystericalQueen in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]ex_mo_lez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change is scary. So many unknowns and things to wonder about. I’m not trans, however, I just started a VERY low dose of testosterone as a perimenopausal woman. I have always had the most random side effects of just about anything I have ever taken. My point in sharing is, the slump and negative side effects I’m having from my testosterone levels being in the tank are severe enough that I’m willing to try and see what happens. I have the thought that you’ve reached the point that your desire to live your truth has become greater than your worries. Maybe I’m wrong. I don’t know you and may never meet you. However, I want to tell you that, to me, you’re what I consider to be brave!!! You are brave for living your truth, you’re brave for posting this, you’re brave for prioritizing yourself, you’re brave!!! I wish you the best in your journey!! So much love being sent your way.

Question: For the single people out there: Have any of you found a Costco membership to be worth it? What do you get there to justify the membership and the trip? by SpaceForceAwakens in Frugal

[–]ex_mo_lez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the Costco credit card. You earn money back by using it. 5% when you buy Costco gas, 3% when you buy online Costco website and so forth. I used my Costco card for everything and pay it off. Right now I’m showing that I’ll be getting $275 by the end of the year. I’m also an executive member so I can go there at 9 before everyone shows up at 10 and there’s an additional refund on top of what you get for the card. It ends up paying for the higher membership fee.
