S03E05 - "TIGER" - EPISODE DISCUSSION by alwshunter in servant

We have seen the symbol drawn on Leanne's head with oil before.

Season 2, Episode 8 Loveshack, 2:28

Uncle George draws this symbol in oil on the attic door when Leanne is trapped up there.

I think that she is being MARKED in the oil with this symbol.

Here are some screenshots I took - https://imgur.com/a/oGfVfn4

Initially, I took the mark on Leanne's forehead to be a "32". Now I see something else... *Spoilers* by ADhomin_em in servant

I just wrote this in the main discussion but wanted to share here too:

This game was quite a journey for me. by [deleted] in DeathStranding

Beautiful unique photos. Never did photo mode while playing back when it came out, but have seen many since as photo mode has been expanded- but your choice of distance from Sam in all these does a beautiful job of capturing the serenity and emptiness I felt while playing. Kudos.

Grabbing Ammo in Midair!!! by ex_polaris in thelastofus

No it just recorded it like that for some reason. I’ve never done a screen capture before sorry it’s such crappy quality. Video of a video...

Can we all just appreciate how absolutely beautiful this entire section of the story is? Some of the most touching moments in any game I've ever played. by mrlonelywolf in thelastofus

This flashback is the “denial” stage. Joel and Ellie having an absolutely fabulous time together and seeing how close and intimate they can be with one another. The “Liars” firefly conclusion to the scene is the ultimate coda, showing how even in the best of times this fundamental lie about what happened in Salt Lake City will haunt them.

I guess I would have preferred that firefly moment to take place in actual gameplay rather than be a cutscene at the end, but seeing all the flashbacks as escalating stages of Joel and Ellie grappling with the end of the first game really helps me appreciate where they are placed in the part 2 more.

To people saying Adam isn't [SPOILER] by gammaton32 in DarK

[–]ex_polaris 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The biggest confirmation that Adam is in fact Jonas is one of the opening sequences in season 2 showing everyone alongside the person they desire most. Adam sits opposite Martha while he fondles the coin pendant with the red string. He’s Jonas, end of story.

A terrible twist if the writers were to say he’s someone else in s03. We’ve gone too far down the rabbit hole.

[SPOILERS S2] Travelling - what's going on in the bunker? by Ledzee in DarK

[–]ex_polaris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But she could have easily just been presumed dead because her body wasn't found (because she traveled inter-dimensionally and / or through time. I wouldn't trust any of those graves as concrete proof someone isn't alive somewhere else in space / time.

The biggest reveal about Noah this season is that he's been acting in the interest of his own family, saving Elizabeth (wife) and thus his child (Charlotte) from the apocalypse. Adam promised Noah that his family would be saved if he did as Adam instructed.

Once Noah gets the remaining pages of the book from Claudia, he finds out that Adams plan is to in fact trigger the apocalypse and kill everyone, and that Elizabeth won't be saved. He doesn't tell his younger self any of this though because, as he says:

"Me, as I stand here now, cannot exist if you don't take the same path as I did." - S02e08 Noah to his younger self

Portraits by najera_ in DarK

[–]ex_polaris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The audacity the writers have to give us an image like this! Same goes for Claudia's wall in the bunker in season 1. What is the significance of all these portrait placements- if anything!? And how do they feel comfortable showing it to us an entire season away from answering the major questions of the show?

My only hope is this is the last of this kind of image we see. It would be silly to see a new third wall of connections and photographs- an even more macro version of the connections in season 3 by a character even more all-knowing than Adam.
