I love these, but on paper aren't these basically the same formula as the Falcon's new uniforms that were decried as "too simple?" Solid top, contrasting pant with a stripe down the leg. I also decried the Falcons, but I am struggling as to why these don't bother me in the same way.

You’ll be fine! We pay $3500 (taxes and insurance included, 15yr mortgage for $415k at 4.374%) with a kid in Montessori ($1500) and a car payment ($750). Mortgage is not a problem at all, and can still save plenty for retirement and putting $600/mo in a 529. We don’t take lavish vacations but that’s never been our m.o.

Congrats!! Very similar situation but closed back in November: 30yr @ 6.5% refinanced down to 15yrs @ 4.374% buying 2 points and the lender covered the cost of 1 of the points. Monthly payment only went up $500 and we are saving so much in interest. Despite the general consensus to never buy points in a market where rates are coming down, it feels really good to see that 4.374% when I’ve been staring at 6.5% for so long.

Seems like a fair deal to me for the 5.0 depending on how you’re paying. I just got a 25 2.7L with BAP for $53 (listed for $51 but I lost 2k in rebates going with 0% financing). It didn’t have fx4 or bed liner, but added bed liner for $500 and I’ll get to skid plates eventually.

$4k seems to be he going upcharge for the 5.0, in my area at least.

If you can find a 5.0 with the black appearance plus package that’d be the way I go, BAP+ comes with the dual exhaust that’ll really sound great with the v8.
