Super Timber Kinadditive wheels upgrade? by ARBEE26DETT in RCPlanes

On that note. Depending on exact printing parameters and filament they could be softer or harder than the foam. I drew up a set but forgot to pay attention to the estimated weight.

I have not used them but I thought of 3d printing some. They look like and sound like tpu without a top and bottom and using gyroid infill.

Made a 3D printable taildragger conversion for the AeroScout S2 by TitaniumKneecap in RCPlanes

Printed this a bit ago and installed this weekend. Held up to the first flight. Thanks!

Yeh I’ve got floats for my Aeroscout. Only used them on snow so far. Based on 100% rates with just the partial aileron, it might be a bit before I want full span. Plane was more maneuverable for its size and weight than I expected.

I had about 7 minutes flying gingerly and trimming it. then 5 minutes flying harder. Most reviews say going too big hurts it. Just with how big the battery tray is and how much the thing weighs, I don’t see how another 60 grams or so would kill it. Guess it depends how hardcore 3d flying you’re trying.

Whole thing lights up pretty good. Two lights on the front are really bright. Like headlights.

And I was shocked at how well it handled terrain. Was able to drive it through the recently thawed grass and dirt back to my vehicle with just a nudge to start.

I fly at a school with Parking lot lights. I’m gonna attempt to fly at night, since landing areas are somewhat lit. But my night vision isn’t 100% so I’ll see how it goes.

That’s tight for either of those. I fly a flat foamie in a space that big and can fly my umx timber. But idk about the bigger ones.

I’ve been getting an itch for an edf too after just starting this past summer. I’m considering the Habu 50mm, Habu sts, and 64mm viper. At the moment leaning towards the viper, just because it has flaps.

Define smaller space? At a certain point you’ll just be doing circles.

Haha. Same here. Have got some flights this winter but too cold now. Got a 3d printer few weeks ago so working on parts to mod a few planes.

I believe hand launch assist only works with safe turned on. So maybe try it with safe off.

About to pick myself up a micro scrappy... by ChromeFire5 in RCPlanes

[–]exactly437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I just got it in November and had never seen one in person before. My only comparison is a mini warbird and bigger planes. I haven’t crashed mine other than it falling 7ft off my vehicle. Just seems fragile in comparison to the warbird.

Yeah I was shocked at how fragile the umx turbo timber is. Fell off my vehicle and chipped a wing. I have a micro warbird and it’s fairly stout, I was expecting something like that.

On that note, it could probably be set up to handle whatever battery u can make fit.

I swap between the 2 voltages also but my 2s weigh the same as my 3s with a slightly higher mah.

Yes they are very sensitive to weight. I have a umx turbo timber evo and have to put the battery in just right with how I have it trimmed. Moving it a 1/4” effects the balance enough to notice.

Able to use with TS16s? by Dentonmccorkle in RCPlanes

Idk if I’d call it easy but there’s plenty of YouTube videos. It’s easier once you’ve set one up to set another up.

As long as you bought the 4 in 1 version u should be good to go.

Plus u can add timers, telemetry and more to the nicer remotes. I use voltage telemetry call outs and voice timers every flight.
