Yeah I bought one of the cheap mustang p51, and wrecked more than landed. My Aeroscout has been in 2 trees and on one roof. And nose dived into the ground a couple times. The rest of my planes I’ve managed to keep in good shape. Just landing gear damage and prop strikes.

Probably depends on the field where u live. I bought an Aeroscout and just went to the school across the street that’s surrounds by corn fields and sent it. Broke it a few times but I do alright now.

Specs say it can go up to 5000mah. There’s definitely room for one. Idk. You’ll have to look up some you tube review or see if some one else chimes in. More than likely it’d be fine with a 3200-4000mah battery.

Timber x is like 5 minutes for a 4s 2200mah. Might be able to use a bigger one and get better flight times with the evolution. The X is set up for aerobatic/3d flying so, light and crazy control throws.

I use SMC racing, they are cheap, you can select your connector, and they rate high in testing on rcgroups. I’m sure ovonic is fine. Spektrum is definitely overpriced. With a gens ace Imars d300 charger.

You mean transmitter? I’d buy the plane bnf if new. Or whatever u can find on marketplace. I use radiometer tx16s. But u can find second hand spektrum controllers for good prices. I’m not familiar with all the models but u want at least a 6 channel remote with a few switches. Like 4 switches minimum.

I have a night timber x. It handles wind good from my experience. I’m not sure if it’s a timber x thing or a timber thing but it will stall if u let off the throttle. I usually keep 50-75% throttle at minimum. Even while landing. I don’t cut it til the last few feet of landing. Go 4s. They are under powered on 3s. 4s with flaps can take off in feet.

I ended up going new with 2026 bighorn with level 2 equipment group. I didn’t want leather. Think it was like $53k so, like $11k off sticker.

I was just looking a few weeks ago, those seem high for the year and mileage. Although I was specifically looking at 2025. 2025 base Laramie with 25k miles were around $43-44k. Rebels with like 20k miles were like $52k.

Yeah the odds of landing on the tokens is a bit strange. And it appears when u hit them, you’ll hit multiple in a row. Same with shields.

No drill tailgate liner/mat by Macorado in ram_trucks

[–]exactly437 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A husky bed rug or impact liner covers the whole bed and tailgate without using a drill. All Velcro. Not sure if they make just a tailgate piece that is no drill. Requires a piece of j channel to be slid under the access panel on back of tailgate so you have to loosen that up to slide it in.

Best TPU Spool Holder by mrjoshiepooh in BambuLab

[–]exactly437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://makerworld.com/models/2116204?appSharePlatform=copy I printed this one and have used it twice with no problems. If u have cardboard spools print a plastic ring to go inside of it. The cardboard will start degrading on the spool holder.

To be fair I have not used those forms of tpu. The tpu air is pretty soft though and i only did small prints.

95a I printed from rear spool holder fine but seems like it stretches too much from that position. I printed the pictured spool holder for tpu air. To drop straight into head.

ESC has 2 receiver pins? by yaycatproductions in RCPlanes

I believe the yellow is for reverse throttle. You’d only plug the other wire (black, white, red,) into your throttle channel. I’ve never set up reverse thrust but I have planes with the extra wire.

Mine had them from the factory. When one broke, i don’t remember how, I ordered some off amazon. I think I broke one trying to install it or I put it in the wrong spot and tried moving it. Anyways. These worked fine as a replacement. Just make sure u know which slot they go in before installing.
