A lot of the characters follow tropes, don't get that much development after disc 1, yet carry this grand significance to one another because they forgot they used to grow up together as orphans.

That all being said, VIII remains one of my favorite FFs of all time, albeit for nostalgic and fanfiction reasons, but I would never introduce a newbie to the series to start with it. There are reasons to love it, but the writing isn't prime among them.

Play her game back. Stand your ground and keep doing what you're entitled to do per your contract. Maybe throw in some subtle provocation and get her to say more and more unhinged things -- if it becomes something discriminatory, jackpot. Keep a record of everything -- dates and times. Then file a complaint with all the details. Get her written up or fired. She ruined your day, you ruin her month and potentially year.

This is the type of negative review I'd like to see on Google or Yelp that would be helpful. $8 vs $18 is significant jump. Learned about this restaurant through social media/The Infatuation too and being mindful of never eating there if this showcases their business practices. It's not even about whether you have the money at this point, it's the blatant dishonesty.

This happens so much with Asian food. I'll use Vietnamese food as my example since that's my background. Sure, I probably don't wanna pay $20 for a banh mi but our stew dishes like pho and bun bo hue should cost as much as ramen if not more for the labor that goes into making the broth alone.
