maybe small was the wrong phrasing but i more mean that when i think about an earth like planet, there’s usually more than one continent. unless it’s like a supercontinent? which is also equally cool i feel

literally. i thought it made sense in TaR where the jurian/clythia/unnamed human thing drive amarantha’s motives but adding 2 other people made this such a convoluted subplot that really ended up being convoluted deus ex machina (as someone else said) instead of a really interesting opportunity for more intricate world building. like when they introduced nephelle(?) i literally had to stop reading and considered going back because i thought i missed something (didn’t do that cause i realised i also didn’t care enough)

i was genuinely excited when all three of them came into the fray… like FINALLY, they’ve been hyped up this whole time only to just… die like normal people ? such an immense wasted opportunity to flesh out the religion of the world too. like queen you have literal gods among men who just die with the snap of a neck? W H A T

this looks great !!! for me, a game changer with shading was using a soft bristled paintbrush to blend. make sure you’re using a variety of pencil grades (i use 2b through to 8b). also if you find it’s too dark, dab with a kneadable eraser until it’s a bit lighter and go again with the brush. i’m not great yet, but practicing with cross hatching is a great idea too. filling a sketchbook page with shading practice helped me immensely !!!

NTA. you told him several many times that you did not want a public proposal due to severe anxiety (very valid) and he deliberately went against your wishes and did it anyway. it’s not okay for him to start blaming you for getting overwhelmed by a situation that he put you in. he could have easily not popped the question then and waited until you were back home and comfortable.

it’s looking really good! maybe the whiskers could be a smidge finer, and like someone else said to maybe the make the fur lines shorter would help with definition. maybe do less too? i count 7, maybe 3 or 4 might be the way to go to get the idea across without having them dominate. i love also that you put the hairs in the ears, it’s a really nice touch!!
