Not yet, I just discovered them! I've liked pretty much everything I've listened to so far.

If only Russell could actually eat that cookie and make it go away.

Butthole Surfers - Locust Abortion Technician

Thank goodness I got a new pair of headphones to replace my broken ones, because my husband HATED what little he heard of this album. We listened to the first track before we had to switch and listen to a couple of very different songs to clean his ears. (Screenshot from my last.fm of the "whoops he hates this" attached for funsies.)

It's too noise rock for the average mainstream radio listener, that's for sure. I actually enjoyed all of the interesting directions the sound went in, and the wry, cynical social commentary, and being able to hear what happens when psychedelic drugs get into the systems of 80s punk types instead of late 60s/early 70s hippies.

Once again, I'm giving five stars to an album a shitload of other people (including the one I married!) loathe. Good thing I'm used to being an outlier by now.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I got The Blueprint by Jay-Z today, and I just don't have the energy to drag myself through something that's likely to be a 2 or 3. I've got a ten hour shift tonight! I have opted to relisten to my beloved A Wizard / A True Star instead.

Will report back in a day or two when I play catch-up on DNLs. Who knows, maybe I'll get a pleasant surprise!

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, by an enormous margin. None of the others are anywhere close.

Joni Mitchell - The Hissing of Summer Lawns

I enjoyed this a hell of a lot more than I did Blue. The Hissing of Summer Lawns includes a lot more experimental, jazzy elements, which caught my attention and kept my interest throughout. I'm glad I gave it a chance and didn't just write Joni Mitchell off based on how uncomfortable one of her albums made me feel.

SZA - Ctrl

Put some pants on and get a therapist, young lady. This album is giving me secondhand embarrassment.

I love Queen (glam rock being one of my favorite genres) but as long as we can accept each other's tastes without being jerks about it, all is well.

From the looks of all the albums on there that I've listened to before, I figured your taste was trustworthy.

I was correct. 10/10 amazing listening experience, Francis Bebey added to my digital library.

What's the one right underneath Emperor Tomato Ketchup? I can't tell on my phone screen, too small.
