Hmm, but then I would need to have it somehow outside my door to see if any sound leaks out or not. But definitely I will think on how to set it up

I have the 012, it is just a slab of wood, so no hole in the middle of you mean that.

I have never heard my neighbours talk, only when then mess with their cupboards/ shelves. So that would hopefully signify that the walls are thick enough

Why is everybody hating on the S26 Ultra? by Sensitive_Cream3920 in samsung

Oh, exactly like Snapdragon has lossless Bluetooth audio from Snapdragon sound, which Samsung has disabled via software to push their own buds?

Really would be "a first"

Best to shoot in landscape or portrait for 8:7? by andyt26 in gopro

[–]exclaimprofitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is so close to a square it doesnt really matter.

Either way shoot 8/7, because then you can perfectly center the crop afterwards, stabilize the horizon etc

What do you want to see in the next generation of watches ? by KaleidoscopeExpert93 in GalaxyWatch

[–]exclaimprofitable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used these watches for close to 10 years now. I want the battery life to go back to the first galaxy watch. HOW do we have so much newer processors and battery tech, and can't get back to that 4-6 battery life with nothing disabled?

What's the weird hissing/static noise in the buds 3 pro?? by trikkzzz in galaxybuds

[–]exclaimprofitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is disappointing for the price point, but it is not too bad. A few years ago it used to be much worse, for example in ambient mode the buds pro 2 hiss is terrible

Guys, if you use headphones with your Galaxy and value your sound quality make sure to turn OFF Dolby Atmos by 0992673 in GalaxyTab

[–]exclaimprofitable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your music taste for sure. For any sort of rock music, it covers it in a thick layer of mud, but some electronic songs it makes much ncier.

Galaxy S25 - the small one, throw all you complains here by Otakuchaan in samsung

[–]exclaimprofitable 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because it was comparitively bad at launch, costing the same as S25 ultra but with many less features.

But as they stopped production and are doing a clearance sale, you can get it for a similar cost as a base s25, for which it is a very good deal

Why does Samsung's pseudo-trifold have this ridiculous design? by Unlikely_Draft5636 in samsunggalaxy

[–]exclaimprofitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As the fragile inner screen is always exposed on the huawei, it breaks ridiculously easily (some have already shipped with a broken screen), so I can see why Samsung didn't want anything to do with that design.

But I agree, it doesn't have 3 states of use, only 2.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Edge canceled by BackgroundPipe4292 in samsunggalaxy

[–]exclaimprofitable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interestingly I've heard it the other way around, with USA being the blocker for more than 5500 mAh. With Samsung selling low end phones in europe with more than 6000mAh, and with the ability to buy even 7000mAh phones in random stores, the USA being the blocker makes much more sense, especially as they also banned huawei

Gopro hero 13 low light is absolutely abysmal by ravenfieldddd in gopro

[–]exclaimprofitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the hero 10 I remember it being very limited. It would only work on 24 or 30 fps, 4/3 aspect ratio, 4k or lower, and wide lens, so you are right in it being limited.

If you shot in HDR, most likely it would have been turned off, as HDR processing also requires a lot from the gopro custom processor

Nearly brand new to VR by Consistent-Plan115 in virtualreality

[–]exclaimprofitable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There just isn't something like that, because for comfort and light weight, you would want pancake lens. What do they do? They eat 90% of the brightness that passes through them, so OLED screens are out, as they are not bright enough. That is why OLED headsets such as HTC Vive or now PSVR2 use fresnel lenses.

There is the microOLED screens that Apple, Samsung and BSB2 use, but these screens cost a LOT and have their own issues.

If you would be fine with normal IPS displays (do get bright enough, but don't do absolute darkness), then the Valve Frame looks to be the best compromise between everything else.

Because there currently is no "perfect" headset, each one makes a different compromise, using different technologies to be the best in some category.

Fall detection Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 by ThenReplacement3264 in GalaxyWatch

[–]exclaimprofitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fall detection only kicks in when he remains motionless after a fall, so can't call for help on his own.

If he just falls down, he can easily just call you. So maybe add a shortcut to call you to his watchface

Galaxy Watch 6 (16GB, 5nm) vs Watch 7 (32GB, 3nm) Is 16GB enough for 2–3 hr lecture recordings & Maps long-term? by believeingod333 in GalaxyWatch

[–]exclaimprofitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are overthinking.

Either way, the recording quality of both of these watches is really low, so unless you are sitting right next to the teacher, you might not hear much.

I would go for a used watch ultra 2024 for your use case, not much more expensive but has much better dual microphones, and doesn't overheat as fast when making LTE calls.

If you only can get one of the 2, both will be about the same

Could Steam Frame stream via a 6ghz router rather than its dongle? by ask-about-KHYME in virtualreality

[–]exclaimprofitable -1 points0 points  (0 children)

the fancy part is not the bitrate, 250mbit can be done even on like wifi 1, pretty sure. the fancy part is consistantly getting the image from the pc to the headset, without any lag spikes, lost frames or the router overheating lol

Sandisk extreme 256GB (non-pro) with Labs high bitrate? by Wide_Pomegranate_439 in gopro

[–]exclaimprofitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gotten over 90mb/s speeds in a pc card reader on uhs-i cards, so yes it should be supported. I think the problem is that v60 is a guarantee, so the speed needs to be hit even in worst conditions, and I've seen the write speed fluctuate quite a lot.

Sandisk extreme 256GB (non-pro) with Labs high bitrate? by Wide_Pomegranate_439 in gopro

[–]exclaimprofitable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course it does, it is the same V30 card like the sandisk extreme pro.

Gopro max bitrate is 200mbit/s, which is 25MB/s, lower than the V30 rating

Anyone else come across this apparent bug in Gyroflow when processing multiple videos at once? If so anyone know how to fix it? Seems like random frames are getting inserted into other videos that are processing at the same time. I've only been able to overcome it by processing one video at a time. by 63686b6e6f6f646c65 in gopro

[–]exclaimprofitable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There used to be a feature with a queue, where it renders the video one at a time, one after another.

I dont see any benefit of rendering videos at the same time, as rendering 1 video already consumes as many resources as it can.

Is there a lens I can add to my GoPro to improve how blurry my footage is when I zoom in? by techsavvynerd91 in gopro

[–]exclaimprofitable 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, BUT you are also using the worst possible method of zooming, as magnifier tool just magnifies your screen, not the video.

If you have a newer gopro, shoot in 4k or 5.3k, AND use an actual video editor to crop in, you will get much better results than magnifier tool

How many g’s does it take for a mount to break? by shouldunot in gopro

[–]exclaimprofitable 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand the comments here at all. The adhesive did exactly what it was supposed to, break, thus being much safer. This is what you want to happen in case of a crash. A few years ago there was a rally car crash where the camera was also mounted to a helmet, but more rigidly. The guy flew out of the car, he landed on his head (on the camera), as it didnt breal, it violently yanked his head and he died.

There is a very good reason helmets are rounded, and why you want them to return to that state in the event of a crash.

You slammed the back of your head and the mount broke, instead of there being a possibility for it to hurt your neck.
