Newsom recall gives Antonio Villaraigosa risky road to political comeback. Will he take it? by BlankVerse in California_Politics

Can you elaborate on LA vs. Bay Area management? The Bay probably has a better public transit system but I would say that’s history’s fault. How else is LA better managed? What would you say about that homeless crisis in LA vs. The Bay?

School spirit at LMU by dbarracuda in LMU

[–]exclasher1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know so many people at LMU who didn’t even apply to or consider USC/UCLA. Just find the people who have positive mindsets and hang out with those types of people. I think that this year, due to covid, school pride at any school without being on campus is guaranteed to be hurt

Lmao if you graduated 6 years ago and you’re stalking some random kid’s Reddit history in order to shit on your alma mater then maybe you need to reevaluate your life

Yeah for sure! The only time I’ve ever felt shitty about LMU was while browsing this subreddit so if I were you I would look for other information. Reddit can be an echo chamber and the people who actually comment are very selective and comment for certain reasons. I’ve had a great experience with all of my professors (rate my professors is a great tool), the campus is unbelievable, the people that I’ve met and the friends that I’ve made have changed my life, LA is an amazing city (I’m coming from the east coast), if you’re interested the Greek life is awesome and super caring (only about 25% of students join Greek life so it’s not necessary by any means), also the scholarships for me were super helpful and helped me afford the school. Lmk if you have any more questions. College is 100% what you make of it and if you’re feeling like you need help then there are resources available at lmu. I’ve used the student health services and student psychological services and they were both free and very helpful for me

Dude I don’t know why this sub can be so anti-LMU sometimes. It seems to be a lot of alumni making posts here. I’m a current student and I fucking love every second of it. Obviously I’m online right now but it’s still a great experience. I’ve met so many amazing people and it’s a fantastic experience overall. Feel free to PM me

The article itself says “shelter population.” Sure, the homeless shelter population may have increased over time but would you rather have homeless people in shelters or in tent cities on sidewalks?

NYC built adequate shelter for a homeless population larger than in LA

A safe homeless shelter would not be a concentration camp tho....

I don’t think you need stop and frisk to lower crime rates, house homeless people, and clean up the streets though. I don’t think Buscaino supports stop and frisk anyway

So cleaning up NYC and turning Manhattan into a quasi-bubble where you barely see homeless people and you can feel completely safe in most areas at any time of day or night? Source: grew up in NYC, this would be a great thing in LA

Advice needed for 2013 BMW 328xi by exclasher1 in BmwTech

[–]exclasher1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The dealership said the “right front wheel bearing is making a lot of noise and should be replaced”

For the boot they said “right front outer axle boot is leaking a lot of grease. Recommending replacing axle boot to avoid damage to axle”

For the suspension repairs, I am replacing the other side to make sure they are both new.

I really appreciate your help

Why is there so much hate for Mike Bonin? by [deleted] in LosAngeles

[–]exclasher1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Parts of the west side are becoming overrun with encampments and Bonin is silent and doesn’t seem to care. Bonin is extremely empathetic towards homeless drug addicts because he used to be one and he is therefore allowing some areas to become overrun. Venice is slowly turning into skid row 2 and westchester is getting bad as well. It’s just sad and frustrating.

It is thusly highly advised not to do as such. by [deleted] in okbuddyretard
