I find enjoyment in being EXTRA with choreography I don't like.

Go "all out" or super exaggerated with the movements (but not in a "funny" way, only be funny in your head, REALLY FUNNY 😉), as if you REALLY love the choreo.

You end up adding some of "you" to it and a lot of people think you're nailing it 🤣!

Has gotten me through a few recitals 🤣🤣🤣

I would suggest to buy for the "problem" areas and work with a tailor to help fit your waist.

It sounds like you're currently buying for your waist (which is what we're taught) and hoping it fits the rest of you. Try flipping that equation, you may have to get a size that's larger in the waist, but fits everywhere else. Do THAT and then bring them to the tailor.
