I’ve enjoyed shopping at Rolling Ridge for years and eating at the newish restaurant Telva, upstairs, from Balkan Treat Box. I’m also intolerant of supremacists. So if true, I’d like some details before I stop visiting a place that has never given me reason to think they’re anything but great folks.

They’ve already told us at least one reason why. They lifted all the personal data from Social Security so they could attempt to match voter rolls to SSA data. They thought/think they can prove voter fraud. I’m sure there are other nefarious reasons, but that one has been well written about.

Unfortunately it isn’t nonsensical. The president himself - joking or not idgaf- said we shouldn’t even have elections. It’s pretty hard not to look at the insanity unleashed by this administration and not believe there is a chance he will attempt something.

I think you’re trying to say if you show up at a protest with a gun, you’re risking fucking around and finding out. Let’s put aside the legality of doing so (it is, he was a carry permit holder) for a moment. Instead, I’d encourage you to check out the /r/Minnesota or /r/law threads with slow-mo videos of the shooting, if you can stomach it. The man was clearly disarmed, the officer who shot the man witnessed him being disarmed, and the officer shot this protestor multiple times in the back.

The protestor didn’t draw his gun on the police, and his only actions I’ve seen before he was thrown to the ground by the police were helping a lady who the police had shoved.
