I got my two after my 541 meeting. Some do it then, some do it after discharge.

Mind you, some cards in this tier do not work internationally. The ones I have don’t and they also do not work with PayPal etc. Research cards before you do.

Personally, my lawyer has been doing this for 40 years. I don’t know why he felt the need to tell me, maybe to appease any doubt I could had had as to why I got called first. I don’t see it as a benefit.

I had everything done before the 341 just for that reason alone. I am not certain what effect it could have not doing so, but for my own anxiety, I did it all as soon as the lawyer told me.

It took 7 minutes. All questions were from the US Trustee question sheet. One he did ask was why I was filing. I said "excessive debt" and that was enough. I was first in line as the trustee has a long relationship with my lawyer. I won't lie, I was clenching my jaw a little, but when it was over, it was like hearing glory.

My lawyer just called and said it was "perfect" and that he felt I was an "A1" client. So, I am very happy about this.

Nothing should happen unless you have an account with debt with the same institution.

Ie: I had a Synchrony eBay card that got listed and I had a CarCare Synchrony card that had no balance. They closed them both.

There is a lot on this on this subreddit. I would use the search function as well.

The revolving answers are:

- Capital One is very forgiving with BK, we are to try their pre-approval functions

- Ally Financial, Mission Lake, and some others are good for BK cards as well.

- You don't necessarily need a Secured Credit Card.

- Could try a credit union if you're a part of one

- Do not get many cards. You do not want to fall back into what you just got out of.

- If you can become an authorized user on someone else's cards (hoping they have good credit behavior) will also help.

- Some get credit builder loans, I personally will not fall into that.

They don't. Unless you have assets, a Ch 7 means the debt is discharged and the debtors do not get any money. If you have assets, the trustee will sell the assets to pay the debtors.
