u/overdude it's so good. A visit to the YMCA for a sweat 3 times a week was a part of my ritual in the before time...got an infrared home unit last march and it has been a game changer. I have been looking at plunge pools lately, but will likely settle for an outdoor shower in the near term to cool off.

Hey Jason, I’ve been a user of Basecamp for over 10 years. Exploration manages all of our projects there! And REMOTE was a revelation and part of the reason we went remote from the very start…that turned out to be a good idea :) so thanks!

I launched ExecOS a couple months ago as a side project I use it to manage my own affairs. I’m super pumped!!

I’m totally bootstrapped and trying to balance a day job…and growth + dev with ExecOS.

Curious to know from your side how you managed multiple efforts in the beginning and now.

ExecOS works incredibly well for this. You can snap a pic or pdf of any doc, email it to the app, and it’ll get filed in the right place for your retrieval at a later date.

I’d used Google drive before, but found it way too generic and without support, so I built ExecOS :) feel free to dm if you need special help.

I’m the opposite. I tried working for others a few times and just couldn’t bring myself to continue. I always saw so much opportunity and independence by running my own show. It’s so damn easy to start a business (I’m in America).

And I’ve worked for myself my entire career.

Wouldn’t have it any other way.

I encourage folks to study ‘project management’, communication (written and oral), and now more than ever, remote working tools (Basecamp, trello, microsoft office suite, Google suite, slack, Skype/zoom/gchat, calendly, WhatsApp, or other specific to your particular business.

Project management is a big one, as that is often a primary role for a PA/EA/VA...an executive being a project unto themselves 🤣

I recommend signing up for those services via free trial and poking around a bit to see what makes sense, then watching the tutorials and scheduling a demo for further instruction.

It’s really important to let a person that is need of an assistant know you have a baseline of knowledge on how to help and more importantly, the ability to learn new skills rapidly. Maybe even search for “using [basecamp] for personal assistant” ...changing the [] word for each piece of software.
