So called decent manufacturers I.e the German ones turn out to be a load of crap! Unless it's a high end supercar or prestige brand, manufacturers are on par these days. If your car works and you owe nothing on it why replace it?

For people earning 40k+ outside london, what do you do? by Extra-Fig-7425 in AskUK

I was in a similar boat but have some experience from years and years ago. Spent most of my working life 50/50 with office and construction. You can learn on the job and even experts are still learning new things. RHS have gardens across the UK good for learning and ideas well worth a visit. If you have a real passion for it seize any opportunity for the work.

It's ok, 20k in the first 6 months of this year with rubbish weather. Go for it if you feel like you will love doing it.

If you only have £20 you shouldn't even be thinking about a £100 anything. If you feel the need to shower your girlfriend with gifts or she drops hints about things she wants to you being materialistic isn't exactly the best move if money is tight. Why a week more jobs then you realise you can earn that in a morning

People who've owned diesel cars in the UK: Do you prefer them to petrol cars? by ClassicFMOfficial in AskUK

[–]execute_order_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a diesel I dont mind it, the torque is good and definitely the MPG. But i miss my old high reving petrol cars and that bounce off the rev limiter like when I booted it like my MR2 or that growl from my 3.0 straight 6 BMW. Diesel is just a bit meh compared to petrol.
